Taken from the FA Cup thread:
Buffalo Soldier wrote:Between now and end of January our fixture list is brutal...
7 December - Bayern home
12 December - Chelsea away
18 December - Arsenal home
21 December - Stoke home
26 December - West Brom away
1 January - Sunderland away
3 January - Liverpool home
7 January - United home
11 January - Liverpool home
14 January - Wigan away
22 January - Spurs home
25 January - Liverpool away
31 January - Everton away
Just hope the FA Cup game doesn't go to a replay cos fuck knows where they would crow bar that in.
December's the same as every other team fixtures wise but there's some big games in Jan - 5 league and 3 'Big' Cup games.
Anybody worried we will burn out or do you think Mancini will have the guns to compete at all levels?

Might need to dip into the transfer market.

Can't really whinge about it because we knew before we signed him, but Yaya fucking off for the Cup of Nations couldn't have come at a worse time.
Just hope we don't get any injuries/suspensions for any of our midfielders until he's back.

They will all have their own problems to deal with. Some positive waves, luk with injuries and we could be looking at a fecking treble right in our sights.

My personal thought is that we'll have to take a gamble on one of the cups, maybe both if we want to keep our league form. It's difficult though as we're 2 games away from a final against a team who proved how much they want this with their last outing and the other is a game that we will not want to lose.
I don't envy the Boss with that fixture list but I guess that's why he's paid the big bucks. I think that something may have to give, I can't see the Dippers or the Rags wanting to play their kids in the cup.

Very true Sis but out of all the teams to be pitted against in the Cup it would've been nice to at least see us get a lower league side. Haven't we had Brum, Wolves and the Arse in the CC, now 2 legs against the Dippers. There's nothing like doing it the hard way!
God knows what will happen if we somehow get through in the CL?

Imo, we need to get our squad so that every position has two players who we would be happy & confident to play against a top 4 team. Then, we can compete for every trophy.

I imagine the players are seeing things this way as well. Hope so.

I'd include a strong Academy contingent in that as well mate, 25 players, although it looks a lot, doesn't seem to be enough when you look at those fixtures.

Me as well. I find it funny that we have the best squad ever yet some are still worried, The rags have done it for yonks, sure getting some back up if possible but its not a priority for me, just being in this position makes my day and we just need to get used to and accept it ...
this is football etc etc

I know its not the greatest draw but its all about the big games for me and they dont come any bigger that the rags. They will be smarting after the 1-6 and out to prove a point, we will be going out to prove that we are not only top dog in Manchester but in England. If i had to choose something to win though it would be the Premier all day long and this should be our No 1 priority.

I don't think we have any academy players who are ready yet.

There's no complaints from me (as Chinners seems to think), this season has been the best for many of us. The Prem has got to be everyones priority considering the start we've had. Anything else is an added bonus.

We need to rename it 'Liverpool month'. I'll be sick of the sight of that bucktoothed little rodent by the end of the month.

I'm more talking about in the future mate but you never know, there just may be a few surprises.
