Personally, I would swap Tevez for Torres at Chelsea.

I think Torres has a point to prove and it's clear he can't play with Chelsea's awful midfield not feeding him.

So I would swap Tevez for Torres and give him time to get his fitness levels back.

Villa hasn't done so well this season, in one of the best teams in the world. I think his time is up, why would Barcelona let him
go otherwise? Torres, if his confidence gets back knows everything about the Premier League and given the right motivation
could be a quality PL experienced player to have around in the run in come March.

Liverpool can have Villa, by the time we are finished with them he will still be finding his feet in the PL, a bit like Sergio is at
the moment.

Giving Chelsea, our 'title rivals', a striker who can guarantee 20+ goals a season, in return for one that guarantees... not a great deal, wouldnt be the best idea in my opinion.

I see your point , but Tevez must be so unfit right now , it will take him till March to get up to any good level.
Also, Like Torres, will he be able to play with Chelsea's shocking midfield ? or try to do it all himself again ?

Pep - Villa reports are lies

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has rubbished reports suggesting he is prepared to sanction the sale of David Villa during the January transfer window.

Spanish sports paper Marca claimed the Catalan giants had made the World Cup winner available for a New Year move.

A number of Premier League sides were said to be keen to strike a deal, with Villa's strike rate the envy of many strikers in Europe.

The 30-year-old has struggled to hit the heights expected of him at Camp Nou following his arrival in the summer of 2010, but he has still managed 32 goals in 75 appearances.

With Barca boasting few out-and-out strikers on their books, Villa is considered to be an important member of their squad

Taking that into account, Guardiola has sought to bring an end to the mounting speculation regarding his future.

Speaking in Japan ahead of Barca's Club World Cup campaign, he said: "Marca lie.

"I have not spoken to David after the last match in Madrid, but all of the players are in my plans.

"I am the one who comes up with 25 different line-ups during the season because I feel that is the best thing to do.

"Most of the players that are here now will continue for the rest of this season and the next.

"I wish I could play with 15 players on a team because then everyone could play."

Too much of a gamble, for too much of a gamble (if you get me). Get him out of this country, out of this league and as far away from our club as possible. Giving him to Spurs/Chelsea is unnecessary and dangerous.

Saying that - i'd take Torres on a seperate deal.

I would definitely have David Villa. He's class, doesn't matter if he's 30 - he can play centre forward and score or create.

Cannot imagine anything will happen in January with regards to this though, ditto for Cavani - will want to stay with Napoli to play Champs Lge, ditto with Van Persie - will want to play Champs Lge with Arsenal.

I'd have Villa. He always seems to score. Maybe not his best start at Barcelona, but he still scores goals. His problem is that Messi will always outshine everybody.

David villa as not really proven himself at Barcelona a good player but can't see him improving on what we have available at the club. Torres as had poor performances for a while but he does when you see him play offer more potential if we were to go for another striker. I can't see city swapping Tevez in this country because of his wage demands and if readings are true we want a good value for Tevez if we do sell him on and can't see Chelsea or spurs being able or wanting to pay is large wage demands so on Tevez won't be easy to sell on because of the wage issue that would be stumbling block in any swap deal or sale.

We're not going to get Tevez's Value, we could pick up a quality rotation player here that would probably cost the amount we'll get for tevez due to Villas age.

He's not on the transfer list until Guillem Balague says he is.

2003–2005 Zaragoza 73 (32)
2005–2010 Valencia 166 (108)

Not a bad replacement for Tevez at all if it came down to it. Could possibly be mates with Dave as well.

Absolutely. It gets Tevez out of the country and the Premier League and we'd have one hell of a quality 4th striker.
