Waynetta has apparently said he can't understand Bobby's outburst as he doesn't know why he's been frozen out of squad. Not sure if he reads this; but just in case and in the spirit of Xmas, I thought we could all share with him the reasons why we think he isn't isn't in the squad.

I'll start

But harsh.

He's not really done anything wrong has he? The audacity to see out a ludicrous contract we gave him.

He can't really go on in the papers about how much he wants to play football (which he has done today), then sit on his arse collecting his pay rather than moving clubs to play football (which he has done) without being accused of double standards.

This thing with Bridge is a bit of a set up isnt it? Mancini was pestered for some reason at one of the pre match conferences ,with questions about Bridge. He decided to answer them and got a little glib with his responses and now we have a paper going to Bridge to get his reply.Surprise surprise.

Cant make up my mind if we have engineered this to maybe help him leave or it is just the press digging for a negative story.

Yeah but if your work decided they didn't want you would you just accept the next job at half pay?

He wont be leaving until his membership at Manchester Golf club expires, he loves that course.Hes been working hard on his handicap the last couple of years and knows that course like the back of his hand but hes looking forward to a new challenge and is currently viewing new clubs before he makes his next big move.

No, but you also wouldn't go to the press saying how much you loved doing your job and wanted to continue doing it (whilst sitting around picking up your wages for doing nothing).

I think paying a bloke 90 grand a week for nothing is something that the club should look to being to a head. Perhaps Bridge is behind it, or maybe his agent. Bridge doesn't actually say anything that negative about Mancini despite the headline, other than that he will never pick him. I wonder who it was that asked him about Bridge in the first place. Not a daily mail reporter by any chance, was it?

If he wants to play so much, why doesn't he just ask the club to terminate his contract so he can find himself a new club? He can get 10-20k a week at any other Prem club, which should be enough money for any normal person to manage on.

If he's been on 90 grand a week for three years and he still cares about money, then he is a wanker.

I'd have to. That is the nature of the industry I am in.

Well I bloody wouldn't and if they then started having me work with work experience kids if be fucking fuming and would tell everyone I know what cubts they were.

Bridge has been far more reserved than I would expect.

I get the feeling that he should move on for footy elsewhere, but the mock outrage at a nothing interview makes me wonder.

Read it earlier, no complaints from me. His actual statements were reasonable whereas the story made it out as if Mancini was having a go about him playing golf when all that Mancini said was that he didn't know what he did, 'Golf?'.

And if I was Bridge earning near 100 grand a week (5 million a year) then I'd do the same. Why take a an 80% cut in wages when you can set yourself, and future family, up for life? Remember, this is a job for them at the end of the day, not a hobby.

How can anyone compare a normal fuckin job to a Footballer?
On Bridge, he's a useless player. His performances for West Ham last year showed that. A younger Danny Mills if ever I saw one.

Quite easy, it's a way to earn money. Tell you what, if you has an individual were offered to leave your easy job to earn probably 4 x less, would you do it?

If he hadn't been a total disaster at west ham ... they may have bought him, or at least made other clubs interested. How could we even think of playing him at left back in the prem after those performances?

Calm down Beefster, where in that did I say I wouldn't do the same thing if I was a footballer? If it was me I'd be buzzin! I could then spend a lot of time playing XBox, shaggin the one that looks like a lad from The Saturdays, uploading vids of me shaggin the one that looks like a lad from The Saturdays on to the internet so that I'd become even more famous, going to the gym so I can become a beast, challenge Micah Richards to an arm wrestle and beat him and waste my money on cars that I'll probably never drive.

I say good on him. Life in football is short and life after is a heck of a lot longer. If I was in the same position I'd do exactly the same thing. Yeefuckingha. Bully for us for giving him a stupid contract.

I find it incredibly hard to feel sorry for Bridge.

He earns 90k a week, and spends all his free time with a highly attractive pop star.

Oh it's a hard life isn't it, Wayne?

If you really wanted to play Football then you would have accepted a loan deal somewhere, but you didn't. Stop fucking moaning and man up.
