Only his ankle, back, knee and hip you fucking droopy eyelided criminal

It wasn't long ago that Spurs never won when Bale started. He would probably get in our team, but no way is would I want us playing anything over £20million.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has saluted Gareth Bale as a player without a "weakness in his make-up".

Bale scored twice as Tottenham won 2-0 at Norwich to record their eighth win in ten Premier League games.

Redknapp insists only the world's richest clubs could afford the Welshman but clarified Bale is not for sale.

He said: "If we sell him, we've had it haven't we? It would only be a Barcelona, a Man City or a Real Madrid who would be able to pay for him."

Redknapp could not hide his admiration for the 22-year-old, who has now scored eight goals for Tottenham this season, as well as three for the Welsh national side.

The Tottenham manager added: "He's an amazing player. He's got everything, there's not a weakness in his make-up.

2011-12: 18 games (8 goals)

2007-08: 13 games (3 goals)

"He can head the ball, he's as strong as an ox, he can run, dribble and shoot. Most important of all, he's a smashing lad."

Bale joined Tottenham from Southampton in 2007 for a final fee of £7m but that price tag has soared in recent seasons with powerful performances in the Premier League and in European competition.

His hat-trick against Inter Milan in the Champions League in October 2010 thrust the Cardiff-born left-sided player into the world spotlight, but Redknapp reiterated that any approach from England or abroad would be rebuffed.

"They [Barcelona, Man City, Real Madrid] are the only ones who could afford to pay the transfer fee and his wages, but he isn't for sale.

"The chairman has said he isn't for sale. If you are looking to go somewhere you don't go and sell a player like him."

Tottenham are seven points behind leaders Manchester City, with a game in hand, and lead fourth-placed Chelsea by four points, also with a game in hand.

Despite his side's excellent run of form, Redknapp refused to be drawn on the chances of Spurs winning the league championship for the first time since 1961.

He added: "It's not impossible. It's very difficult but I never said we couldn't win the league. We have to just keep picking up points and see where that takes us."

Lambert admires 'top' Spurs
Tottenham travel to Swansea on New Year's Eve, when the former Portsmouth boss hopes to have more selection options.

"When everyone is fit we are very strong," Redknapp added.

"Michael Dawson and Tom Huddlestone are on their way back and Jermain Defoe could be back for the weekend."

Redknapp has previously hinted that he is hunting a "special" signing in the January transfer window.

it's easy to piss all over the media hype surrounding him, especially when curated by Twitchy, but honestly he's a player who would flourish in our side.

cheers

He is a Gibbon faced arishole but his second goal last night (bursting through central midfield from the halfway line at pace then finishing with confidence and precision) was rather Ronaldoesque (the fake one).

I would have to argue that being a passeneger in at least 20 games a season is a little bit of a weakness.

When he does show up he does it in style but hes rubbish most of the time.

Reminds me of Darren Huckerby.

I've heard he has a real weakness for a tyre on a rope.

Bale lacks consistency. When he turns it on though, there aren't many better than him. I have no doubts though he'll go on to be a truly world class player.

Hang on , I seem to recollect a space the size of a fuclin aircraft hanger opening up in front of him for that goal. Pace he has but not a trick in sight unless he´s got a part time job with Billy Smart´s ;)

That's quite a flattering picture of him, has he had some work done? A lift? Some Botox perhaps?

Bale is a quality player on his day. As others have said he's not consistent enough but thats usually the case with flair players tbf

I really like bale and think he has a quality engine and a great left peg. He has got better and better the last couple of seasons and would certainly do a decent ob for us. He is similar to milner but with an edge IMO, I wish milner would score as many as bale

I agree with the first bit but how is he similar to Milner? Bale is all about pace, explosiveness and a good delivery. Milner plays far more centrally and links defence to attack.

Milner is average apart from one game in 10 where he excels....he was particularly fucking shit against WBA...he seemed to have no idea what to do with the ball.

Bale is in no way whatsoever similar to Milner...fuck knows where you get that from....they are miles apart...Bale is fast as fuck and has a fantastic left peg...Milner puts his head down and runs into things apart from that one game every 10.

A space that he ran into, beating at least two Norwich players then the keeper. He didn't do Ronaldo's superfluous stepovers for five minutes at a time though.

Bit harsh on Jimmy. I agree he was shite at WBA but has done very well this season apart from that.

The question is - 'Would you want him at City?'. If you would have him then he must be a quality player. If you wouldn't, then you're nuts.
