I hope so. 5 points clear and 1-0 up against Chelsea I thought it was in the bag.

I think to win it now we have to get maximum points from January and then the fixture list settles down abit and we can get back to business.

If we slip up now and let them get in front I think they will go on to win it because they are horrible counts like that.

They will drop points somewhere stupid like we have just done (again). They won't do it very often though, so we can't afford to carry on doing it.

Think we'll break 90 points, not sure if that'll be enough.

I pretty much agree with this. We've been in incredible form all season and just because we drew a game against a well-organised West Brom side, I'm not going to get into a hissy fit like a number of people on here. We've played a lot of hard away games and considering how good our home form is, this should lead us towards the title.

If we don't win it, we'll come a very close second and it will be down to an exceptional run of form by United over the second half of the season, which I'm not sure they're capable of.

Had a massive argument with r_o_m on twitter who was claiming that us not being well clear of United is embarrassing. Which irked me, cos our start has been exceptional. It just so happens that theirs has too. It's not our fault that United also have 45 points.

I looked around the league tables of other european league competitions, and no other major teams can possibly match 45 points after 18 games. Not even Barca or Real. They can only manage 43 (presuming they win both games). Juventus and AC can only manage 40, even all domineering Bayern can only manage 40 at best....

45 is a VERY good haul of points at this stage. We've done very, very well. The fact that United are still on our tails doesn't say bad things about us, it says good things about United. We've done very little wrong - annoyingly United just know how to hang on.

A little perspective is needed. In any other year winning 14 games out of 18, losing only one, would see us about five points clear at the top probably, if not more. It just so happens that United have that uncanny knack of winning games too. Oh well. We're doing fucking well, and i'm not concerned. Let's remain positive :)

Only two-to-one for, at the moment, and I only voted yes because there was no "I don't know" option and I wanted to see how the vote was going.

I'm hoping Mancini is sorting things out re. our shooing (and some players' reluctance to shoot in good positions) this week, because while United and Spurs are chalking up comfortable wins we have to be doing likewise. If it's demonstrated over the course of our next few league and cup games that West Brom and a couple of other recent performances were just slight blips, then my vote would confidently be "yes".

We'll be finding out just how good we are in the next month, anyway, so we won''t have long to wait.

Where's the Richard Keys 'Smash It' option?

Yes from me, forever the optimist. I just think we've got too much quality in all areas. My only worry is that they'll get the luck of the field and we see them getting favourable decisions like we saw against Wigan etc. These things change games and do influence the league over the course of the season.

Strange, 18 people vote 'No' but only Nige saying so?
