Sunderland & Scousers

Postby shortagain » Fri Dec 30, 2011 9:53 am

Just thinking about Roberto's comments about not being able to play two games so close together, was wondering how he will address it. Will he go for a second string against Sunderland & full strength V Scousers or mix & match & try and get through both without injury.

He could play what is largely the CC team on Sunday:- Hart, Zabba, Kolo, Savic, Kolorov, Hargreaves, Nige, Johno, Samir, Milner & Edin with various on the bench & then on Tuesday:- Hart, Micah, Vinny, Lescott, Clichey, Yaya, Gazzer, David, Mario, Samir & Sergio.

Only Nasri having to turn out twice & if we get in a commanding position on Sunday, could even bring him off early.

Hart, Kompany and Ya Ya will play both, all the other squad will interchange covering both games.

Full-backs will rotate, as will Lescott and Kolo. Barry, Milner, De Jong, Silva, AJ, Balotelli, Nasri and Ya Ya will fill out the midfield spots over the two whilst Dzeko will also play one of the two games up top alternating with Aguero.

I hope Yaya doesnt play both....we need to keep him healthy at all cost. I think Milner, Barry or Nasri could all pull double duties and be fine.

Why? He's off to Africa soon, so why rest him now?
