Too early?

I'm so nervous about this, with Gerrard, Suaracist and Bellers available all SEVEN of the dippers fans in my office are really looking forward to this expecting a win.

I hope we smash them! I'd LOVE IT!

Come on City!

I think to win this we will have to score early, the longer the game goes on the more tired we will get with ony one day rest. Liverpool will be well up for this after seeing our last two results. Silva and Aguero have to play tonight with Nasri and Dzeko dropping to the bench. COME ON CITY!!!

My main worry is this fucking wind. It could really slow down our play & help them profit from lumping it at Andy Carrol's head, as our defenders won't be able to follow the flight of the ball, so it brings a big element of chance into proceedings & levels everything out.

I can't see them doing anything different to WBA or Sunderland.

Our home form is ridiculous though so I am expecting a win. I am expecting our FORMIDABLE home form to get us through January, into the CC final, the next round of our cup and 6 points from Liverpool and spuds.

The fact we play our football on the deck should help us.

Can someone remind Kompany of this?

i expect them to do something a lot different than WBA or Sunderland. I expect this one to be a cracker.

We score more than them, we win. That's what i'm hoping for.

Come on CITY!

Thoughts on what our team should be tonight?

I'd start with:

-------------------------Hart

Richards------Kompany---Kolo Toure---Clichy

Silva----------Yaya--------Barry-------Milner

-------------------Balotelli----Aguero

Forget the formation as it'll be slightly flexible, but that is the team that did the Old Trafford massacre (save for Lescott missing out - due to Liverpool not starting Carroll imo).

Not overly confident despite our formidable home record, a draw would not be the worst result but could do with a win. Needs to be a really good atmosphere at Eastlands - all City fans have got to realise that we are currently going through a bit of blip/dip in performances and the lads need our support. Similar to how it was when we played well against Arsenal.

If the wind blows badly enough, it will still make quick passing on the ground difficult & lumping/set pieces extremely dangerous.

When you are up at the top every game is massive and this is just another example. Liverpool are better away from home than at home and we are excellent at home so it's bound to be a tough tough game. A bit like Arsenal is what I expect and I just hope it's the same result but I fear they may frustrate us and go ahead so we will really see what we are made of.

I am really worried about this one.

Id play lescott to look after Carroll as he would have a field day against Kolo. Otherwise i agree with your team(albeit a different shape)

I see the opposite mate. We like to play it on the ground where it shouldn't affect us while we know the Dippers like to play the long-ball, especially when they are up against it.

I've had worries about our recent games, for one reason or another but for some unknown I feel rather calm going into this one. I'm probably hoping that we've got past that 'Christmas Hangover' period and we now see the boy's get back to business. Stuff the frivolities, now's the time to show the rest what our credentials are really all about, starting with a nice win against a club, and team that I have little, or probably now, no respect for.

Any chance we can all turn our backs when they call out their team? Not in a Rag Poznan type way, just a plain old simple snub just as they did with their handling of the Saurez affair.

I don't know how to feel about this to be honest. I hate the cunts more than the rags for various different reasons.

All that aside, like others have said, I'm worried. And I'm worried that I'm worried... The last thing any of us were from the beginning of the season was worried. We looked unstoppable and can again but it is purely a confidence thing and that seeps right through to the fans.

I was hoping scraping hy arsenal would propel us again but that hasn't been the case. We need a huge performance with preferably a huge scoreline and it will tell us a lot about where we are heading.

We lose this and I'll have a fucking mickey fit.

COME ON CITY, DON'T LET ME DOWN !!!

I expect the dippers to come out and attack, which will make our game play much easier. The 11 man defence we have faced recently is difficult to walk a ball through.

As for the wind I feel it will help our short passing play

Liverpool are rightly confident going into this, and we are having a wobble. Can't see the wind being a problem particularly, as we both have to contend with the same conditions, so barring a freak gust doling out an assist to the Galoot like a gift wrapped giro, our slick passing style should cope better. I do fear a resurgent Gerrard tho, and the bigoted rodent will be fired-up.

We just have to start a lot stronger than we have of late tho, and dictate the game. You know, like teams at the top of the league who aim to win it, do?

Desperate for a win.

Take our early chances, we cannot afford for Aguero (or whoever is upfront) to be missing chances like recent time.

Cant believe how much I wanna beat these cunts after Anfailed.

Liverpool have not yet seen the new City on form, every other decent side has had a spanking or two off us, Liverpool are overdue one.
