Oh FOOK if that is true..........

No Yaya & No Gaz Baz (not overly worried about Kolo as we have Joleon).

I thought BobbyManc had secured the Toure's brothers to go AFTER the Liverpool game next week.

I dont see Yaya beinig happy about it from a personal point.

Hope this is turns out to be duff info from the BBC :-(

We'll just have to put Silva, Milner or Nasri in the hole. Problem?

Interestingly the Ivory Coast "training camp" is in Abu Dhabi.

Im sure The Sheikh and Khaldoun will be getting involved on this one.

I was also under the impression we had them both until after the Liverpool CCup game next week. I thought Mancinin had a good relationship with their coach and he was able to sweet talk him into letting us hold on to them fo as long as possible.

Hopefully the BBC have this wrong and are jumping on some rumours.

If the Ivory Coast team want their training camp to go smpoothly in Abu Dhabi, Id suggest that permission is granted.

One suggestion - why not both of them retire from international football? Just a thought.

Bob said this was sorted, I.e. they go post derby. Gutted if there's been an about-face on this. If not, get Nige and Milner in place of Yaya and Gazbaz, and we should still suffocate the scum.

Manchester City will have to do without Yaya and Kolo Toure for Sunday's FA Cup third-round clash against Manchester United, according to reports from Africa.

Ivory Coast coach Francois Zahoui looks to have turned down the Blues' request for the brothers to be allowed to arrive late to the African Nations Cup.

"Clubs know the rules," Zahoui told BBC Africa. "I'm expecting them [the Toures] for the Fifa deadline."

Roberto Mancini had requested that they be allowed to miss a team meeting in Paris on Saturday, and the first part of a two-week training camp in Abu Dhabi that begins on Sunday.

"We have asked the Ivory Coast manager because they have a meeting in Paris on Saturday," said Mancini at Thursday morning's press conference.

"We have asked whether Kolo and Yaya can stay with us and then they can go to Abu Dhabi.

"We are waiting for an answer and I expect to know either today or tomorrow."

The news means City's squad will be stretched for the match.

Gareth Barry is suspended, Owen Hargreaves is not considered fit enough to be involved and Mario Balotelli is troubled by an ankle injury that prevented him playing against both Sunderland and Liverpool.

The families of African players have been known to get serious grief if the player adopts to not play for their country.

Possibly not a factor for either of them, they may love playing for their country, but it could well be part of it.

What would the punishment be if we did this, does anyone know? I honestly don't have a clue- could be anything from a slap on the wrist to disqualification for 'fielding an ineligible player'.

I think we should have more confidence in ourselves than to be making an issue out of this (the club, not the fans).

Yeah, sure, Yaya is a huge player for us, but if i was one of the other midfielders we have, i'd feel a bit disappointed at the apparent lack of confidence. Surely we should be taking this on the chin and preparing to beat the scum with whatever team we put out.

Champions go through these things, people get injured, bans, ACON - either way we have a better team than 'them' even without Yaya and we should be confident in the lads that ARE here instead of worrying about those that arent.

Its not mate, its the fact that barry and yaya are city's engine room and both missing is pretty big for the balance of the side.

I'd still fancy us, but it would be best if yaya was in.

I completely agree, its a real shitter with them both being out, but we have Milner who's been great, Hargreaves has a point to prove, NDJ can step up. Its a big test for us but im confident its one we'll come through all the better for.
