He's had a little bit of stick on here recently, some of which has been pretty fair, some not. So what about that display of leading the line today?

That was his 17th goal of the season and it's January 8th. Sensational for a man who has played 90 minutes about 3 times. His effort today was extraordinary and he was MOTM for me. He has guts, real guts. Great attitude. I think he is taking time to adjust (17, I know) and when he gets fully on song, he could be the World's best. He's fucking brilliant. And he's ours!

He's the dogs nuts. Mom way above Rooneys performance. Good times ahead.

Today made me proud to be a blue.

Agreed. This performance was a long time coming though and we all know what he can do. His goals return can't be argued with but he has much more to his game as we saw today.

Needs to be the same on wed and from her on in!

He was immense today and ran himself into the ground for the cause.

A few of his team-mates could learn a lot from him in terms of effort and commitment.

Fantastic scoring ratio while still getting used to this league - as I said before he now needs to push on from a good start in the way Silva did this time last year. We saw the start of that today!

I liked his reaction too, he was trying to get the crowd going.

He was superb today. Him and milner stood out but a lot of players were superb in that second half. With kun we have a player who has ability, blistering pace over 5 yards but on top of that seems a genuine guy who just wants to get his head down and play football. He is going to get better and better

It's frightening to think how many goals he could have had this season with a little more settling/adjustment. Absolutely frightening (for other teams).

His best display for us to date. Loved the way he led the line superbly on his own against defenders who were twice the size of him and the courage and passion he displasyed were reminiscent of a certain kettle-scarred Argentinian striker who used to play for us. MOTM today and thoroughly deserved - he never gave up

Kun was man of the match for me, puzzled though why never takes free kicks. He has an amazing free kick on him

Workrate today was phenomenal. Goal rate is unreal. I just wish sometimes he'd pull the trigger sooner. My ONLY critisism of him.

Playing 90 minutes on your own up front, knowing there was no cover on the bench, 80 minutes whilst down to 10 men - he could easily have hid and no one would have noticed as he'd have had little service. Brilliant today and easily man of the match

I remember when we signed him and I read an article by Sid Lowe for the Guardian about how Aguero was so much more than just Tevez the second. He was the kind of player who could become a legend and a leader. He single handedly lead Atletico through so many times of negativity and pulled them out of bad patches on his own. He is an incredible talent and he'll only get better.

That's the article - read that and tell me that Sid wasn't absolutely bang on! If today's performance is what's coming then we've got ourselves possibly teh best striker in the world :)

that shot right after the sending off, that lindegaard made a stunning save to keep out ... hell of a player, and seems like a good human being as well. Fights for every scrap. love him.

And the MuEN gave him 7 out of 10 - they gave Milner 8 which isn't bad, but Aguero was at least an 8 - crap paper, crap journalists
