Some great tweets from City players. Micah saying they feel in their heads that they won. Kun really up for the project. Let's draw the wagons round and just pound the opposition. Fuck the Europa, let's get the CC and Prem title grail.
We are the best team. Let's just do this fucking thing.

Most important 45 minutes of the season.
Instead of dispair at being battered, we have great momentum and (another) mental victory against the scum.
More confident of us winning the league now then I was before the game.

The Argentine forward, who scored in the second half, said he was not in the habit of criticising match officials, but felt referee Chris Foy had made a mistake in sending off his team-mate early on in his side’s dramatic 3-2 loss.
Aguero wrote: “I seldom try to find excuses or comment on the referees but the unfair expulsion of Vincent Kompany conditioned the whole game today.
“I want to thank the fans of Manchester City, who inspired us. If we stand together, both fans and players, we can achieve important feats.
“Despite losing, I believe we leave the field strengthened. We almost equalised against all the odds. With this attitude, anything is possible.”
Kompany himself posted on the social networking site and although he didn’t comment directly on the decision he said he felt City were the moral winners of the clash after a stirring comeback with 10 men.
He said: “Thanks for the support I'm getting from everyone. I’m surprised at Sir Alex Ferguson's post match comments. Maybe that is a sign...
“The fans, the players and every single person involved with Man City FC were incredible today. [We were] definitely the moral winners of this game.”
Defender Micah Richards added: “We lost today but in our heads we won! Our team spirit is inspirational! The fans kept us going for 90 minutes! Thank you.”
Winger Adam Johnson also felt the hosts had been unlucky not to progress in the competition after an enthralling contest.
The England man said: “Great effort today!! [We were] so unlucky... fans and everyone involved were excellent!”
"We might have lost the game, but we won more respect among each other, for working that extra yard. Thanks to our fans for their support," wrote midfielder Nigel de Jong.
Here are some of the tweets.

He said it was a red card, and Vinney has done this before and got away with it.

Trying to ensure the 4 match ban stands. He is a 'Sir' afterall.

Vinny might have also been referring to Baconface's post-match answer to the question 'Does this victory give you fresh impetus in the title race?' (Or words to that effect). Purplenose replies, quite angrily, that they were careless in the second half and should have had the game sewn up from 3-0 up and that they can't keep making mistakes like that.
Have to admit I was quite surprised by his honesty - he usually doesn't criticise his team/players in public especially after they had just won a game. In the past he would have been happy with the victory but I think our resilience and never-say-die attitude has really got him worried and he knows that this win means fuck all to the title race - if anything it strengthens our position as our performance highlighted our fantastic team spirit, bouncebackability and Mancini's superior tactical awareness. They are shitting it!

Definately trying to influence any appeal-panel verdict.

No matter how you look at it ...If you go into a tackle with both feet off the ground...no matter how innocuous or how the 'tackle' ends up... you are asking for trouble into days game.If you look at Mr Foys position when the tackle went in you will understand why he had no option but to give the deserved red...

Errr.....no. Every fucker and their dog saw that there was fuck all wrong with that challenge.
Also, I've never met or heard about "realistic football fan". The handfull of realistic City supporters that ever existed hanged themselves late-90's. You couldn't deal with that shit by "being realistic".

Did you get your football education from SkySports? It sure sounds like it. Read the rule, it has to be deemed careless, reckless and endangering an opponent for it to be deemed worthy of a red. This bollox of he had two feet off the ground he had to go is a Sky pundit's mantra and is complete nonsense. If everytime a player has two feet off the ground a red card will be shown then the sliding tackle has effectively been outlawed from the game. If this is the case it's a sad day for football.

Try watching the replay from behind Kompany, it was a clean ONE FOOTED tackle, the trailing leg WOULD NOT have made contact with Nani even if he hadn't jumped as a precaution. One footed or two footed has no bearing anyway on the referee's decision according to the rules.

Just a couple of points... there were no dogs in the ground to witness the tackle ... However from a realistic point of view a professional like Kompany should realise that when both feet leave the ground...you will be walking... And I am afraid that is what happened so it is realistic.
