In his defence ( no pun intended), Mancini did fuck boateng off sharpish at a profit and Kolarov is a wing-back rather than an out-and-out defender.

Savic, well, I don't know what is going on there.

How's this for an argument. Lescott and Kompany are the weakest links ?. Kompany two red cards and a couple of yellows and lescott doesn't step up when his partner is sent off ! Didn't track Rooney, an easy thing to do as a defender....

Does a defender really need to react the way Kompany did with a good structured defense? I agree it was no foul , but shadowing the player, so far out from goal is easy.

Both Lescott and Kompany were bought by Hughes... (For the Mancini swipe).

Come on ! In all honesty, Savic made a mistake, sure, but the defense was at sixes and sevens for two successive corners.

Yes, I know. Now, with injuries, suspensions and the ACN we are being tested. We need to knuckle down and not leave our proper players too much to do when they get back.

Kolrov cant defend end of.savic is still learning but is exposed far to often for my liking.sometimes he has really impressed me but at times he leaves me wondering.Clichy on the other hand is prob the best bit of business we have ever done.years ahead of him and the best left back in the league right now

give savic a fucking break he's young and hasn't had a run in the side. lescott was shit for ages until kolo got banned for smacking up and showed he could step up to the plate. happy to give him these next three games and see how he fairs.

kolarov i cannot defend. most of his 'deliveries' of late have been woeful and he just stands off wingers until they go past him when he brings them down, or they just whip the ball around him. has had very long runs in the side and never truly impressed, so i'm confident in saying its probably not gonna work out between us. get a youth with bags of enthusiasm and energy as a stand in for clichy.

mancini does deserve a wee bit of criticism in the defensive department he's failed with his full back buys in my opinion (except clichy, though i don't think he's a mint as many of you make out still a decent player).
