I thought this was bout Gibson to Everton, the little sweetner to put the rags in pole position to sign Rodwell.

Joke of a manager, was never good enough for us, did little to improve us and had never done anything impressive before us.

I mused a while ago that it was probably Hughes' "wish list" of journeymen, one season wonders, and the chronically injured that cost Hughes the Villa Job, and it was said with RSC in mind. If this is true, it's beyond parody.
Hughes was whinging about City and Fulham again the other day, just after being appointed QPR manager. What a bitter little man he is. Cheque book manager, tactically inept, and if there should be a curtailing of funds at Rangers he'll be walking out again with his golf buddies in tow, whining about QPR's "lack of ambition".
Pity they can't afford Tevez.

This is a brilliant appointment. Hopefully he'll come for 2 or 3 of our outcasts. If we can get 4 players out the door this window we might be able to bring a player in.

Absolutely fine by me but it would be madness on Hughes' part.
Bridge and Ned next please, Mark.

I'd let him go for free. 'Drive him there myself...'

"Hughes eyes Santa Cruz"
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

As I said in the B*ll*x, RSC must have some dodgy photos or summit incriminating on Leslie I reckon.

Or Hughes just fancies him. He is pretty handsome lad after all.

Hughes got credit for snapping up RSC for very little money (3m was it?) & rightly so. It worked like a charm for BBurn, at least for a season or so.
But somehow he's desperately clinging to this one player, this one transfer really, it's rather strange. Might be a false sense of pride, might be just delusion of the highest order, either way, mind-boggling if QPR sign off on this.

RSC is to Mark Hughes what Niall Quinn was to Peter Reid.

Unfair, Niall Quinn was a belting striker in a poor City side.
RSC is a piss poor striker in any side.

Only cos Niall retired. if he could, Reidy would have taken him with him to Leeds, Coventry, Plymouth and Thailand.

True, they'd be currently gardening together.

From MEN
New QPR boss Mark Hughes is eyeing a double swoop for Nedum Onuoha and Roque Santa Cruz.
Talks are ongoing with the Londong club over the possible £2.5m sale of Onuoha.
City will not let the big defender go until late in the transfer window, as he is wanted as cover while Vincent Kompany is suspended, and it is understood Onuoha may be reluctant to move to London as his mum is suffering from cancer.
Another solution may be a move to Blackburn if they sell unsettled Chris Samba to Tottenham.
Reports in London also suggest Hughes may bid £2m for unwanted City Santa Cruz, currently on loan at Real Betis.
Santa Cruz, who Hughes signed for City in a £17m deal, has scored four goals in 14 league games
