Why isn't there a MCFC cable/satellite channel?

The rags have one, as do Chelski & Celtic / Rangers so why isn't there one dedicated to City?
Do they not make enough money? Do Sky/whoever take too much of the profits for carrying it?
Would it not increase our fanbase- global marketing etc etc. there's enough ex-city players on Twitter talking shite about us to fill the airwaves with content.
Could also screen the Next Gen series & our youth matches - or is it that the online version hasn't really taken off hence the reluctance for something on cable / satellite tv?

City chose to go the online content route. Instead of paying for a channel you can access all the stuff anytime from the site.

Yeah it's freeeeeeeeee.
Plus you don't need a channel because there isn't really enough content. It just ends up like dave repeating itself 17 times a day.

Think we should do it to make a way of increasing our revenue stream if it does nothing else

We will do it, but like everything else we do, I would imagine it will be bigger & better & bring in much more money, than everyone else. Therefore it will be done at the right time & probably be a huge FUCK YOU to Platini.

Within 10 years most people will be watching the internet through their TV sets. Traditional channels on networks will no longer be the primary source of watching the box for many under 18's. So I doubt City will invest in a channel and just ensure its web-servers are TV compatible.

I think they will want to launch it big style & use huge sponsorship. They may want to make it available to people who don't own computers, so use all means of broadcast.

Listened to a fascinating prg on radio the other evening regarding the next generation of TVs. Apparently, they are working on TVs that will not need updating, you will simply download the particular package (app) you want. Also as TV technology advances, you will be aqble to download and upgrade your tv too.

At some point the tv will replace every other piece of technology we have in the house bar kitchen appliances. Video calling (demolition man style), Internet (giant tablets/iPads) 3D (on everything, even corrie. Hopefully while the lesbians are still fit) media storage devices (all photo's videos music) a huge increase in the amount of and the quality of apps you can get now, I think eventually even computer consoles will be integrated into the tv. Just download the software and your xbox/playstation is just an app on the screen. All this controlled by voice and gesture's. Shits going to be epic
