Our fans - Negative/Moaners

What is with our fans at the moment? why do they find the need to moan moan and moan! Im a moaner in life myself, but my gosh, do we have some.

Im gonna give you 2 shouts tonight, if you read this forum. You're a disgrace.

1: "Why have we gone with 5 at the back, f**king useless mancini"

2: "Im not sure, who is worse; Edin or Barry"

In response to 1, we had 15 minutes left of a game we were WINNING with 4/5 key players missing. The 5 at the back is not as simple as 5 CBS. It was wing backs, with Zabs and Clichy being played as attacking full backs. We are 1st in the league and winning an away game. Please go home.

In response to 2. Does it need a response?

I don't remember Corradi and co getting as much stick as the current lot do. And its even worse at home, with fans leaving disgruntled on 80 mins despite winning games.

Please dont come back and leave us to our half empty stadium, i have a much nicer time!

1) Wigan are a poor side who were reeling and on the ropes. It was when we were trying to kill time, and neglected to go forward, that we looked our worst. Our negative frame of mind nearly cost us. Do we really need to go five at the back against a team that hardly know how to score? Did we really need to take most of our attacking players off and invite them on to us? we look better when we take the game to other teams.
2) Barry was utter dogshit tonight. The worst I can recall seeing him.

These two factors came together in presenting Wigan with their best chance of the game.
Aren't we allowed to voice our frustrations?

apparently when you play a craptastic match of football vs a team that's won 3 matches all season then you are just lucky to scrape by with a win.

I'm pretty sure the Rags, with less talent than we had on the pitch today, ran them 5-0 or something.

we're playing our worst of the season and just because we're still top of the table doesn't mean things are peachy. We ought to goddam well be out of sight by now...i'm getting anxious about it to be honest because we've shown in the last week that we've got some serious vulnerabilities which aren't reflected in our fabulous points haul or our amazing goal difference. Sure that seems harsh, but it's how i feel. We tonk spurs and scouse 1 i'll feel better, no matter whether the scoreline is flattering or not, but today's performance against cellar dwellers didn't impress me.

cheers

The rags beat Wigan 5-0 every time they play them. I think it's contractual. Either that, or if they don't, Martinez doesn't get invited to Taggart's next evening out.

Wigan may be bottom, but they got a point against Chelsea. If you only have a one goal lead it's always nervy. I think Mancini became too Italian last night but we've seen these sort of subs before. Put de Jong on for a striker to wrestle the ball back then take another midfielder off and put another attacker on. Unfortunately last night, even with de Jong on we couldn't get a grip of the game. Partly because we couldn't pass and partly because every now and again, Wigan turn into Barca for about 5 mins.

Never seen a team like Wigan who can look so good and so bad in the same game, sometimes within about two minutes. It's like they've got 11 Džekos.

Why don't you fuck off and start your own Happy City Fans forum, then? This one obviously isn't good enough for you. And, by the way, it will have to be a complete one off because I've never been to a football message board yet that doesn't have exactly the kind of comments you are complaining about.

I'm getting sick of this. The whole point of a forum is to be able to air your views and let off some steam, but time and time again someone has to come along wagging their finger telling us that, no, we are mistaken, we aren't allowed to vent and fume and complain, we must post banal shit and pretend that every day is a sunny, cloudless day and it's jelly for tea.

11 Dzekos? I am glad they didn't have 1 Dzeko.

Also, moaning on a forum is cathartic, and hurts no one.

I complete agree that everyone is entitled to have a moan and that is what the purpose of the forum is for. At the same time though, the people on here that do like a moan from time to time are also guilty of telling those who aren't moaning that they should stop burying their head in the sand and that everything isn't as rosy as it seems. It works both ways.

If you don't like a particular person's thread or comments, then you don't have to read it.

That is directed at you specifically guv, I'm just following on from your post, but it applies to everyone.

I'm not sure who you mean, dazby, as you haven't quoted anyone. But if you mean do I enjoy reading negative comments then, if the circumstances are correct, then yes, I do get a certain catharsis in seeing I'm not alone in seeing certain things in a certain way. But then I also enjoy the overflowing of joy when City have had a great day and sharing in that, too. I'd say you cannot have one without the other. If a player is having a terrible run and playing badly, it's as valid to comment on that as praising him when he has done well.

Well, I see that as just as bad. I wouldn't want to see that, either. If a thread appeared telling people to 'wake up and smell the coffee, we are rubbish,' etc, it would be just as bad. Just as inappropriate. But where is that thread? We're talking about spur of the moment emotions in matchday threads. The site, I feel, would be a far worse place to use if we had to be careful of what we said at such times. I'm not talking abusing each other, but having a good old rant about a third party who are unlikely to know or care what we think.

Hahaha this thread obviously has all the 80 minute leavers. Funny guys you lot. I'll go find my happy forum. As the old moaning boys on here depress me.

The match threads when we win are always shorter than when we lose. Its just human mentality, moan when its going wrong, dont say as much when its going right.

I dont think Barry was 'utter dogshit' tonight and neither did any of the blues i talked to last night and if iirc it was milner that gave the ball away for their best chance in the 70th minute

That is very selfish Guv. You demand the right to come on here and whinge away til your little heart's content...but if someone exerts the same right by moaning about your moaning...you want to deny them that right.

Id like to think I'm in the top 10 of biggest moaners on this site...maybe even top 5.
