Will Torres ever regain form?

It's startling. 2-3 years ago he was possibly the best centre forward in Europe and now he can't buy a goal. He was poor in the 2010 world cup and has been absolutely terrible since. It's almost a touch upsetting to see such a talented player fall so quickly. Something tells me that a player of his ability will surely come good again but signs are not good.

Not seeing any evidence of it! A blip is a few games, he's been shite for the best part of two seasons now.

I don't think so at this rate, he looks totally depressed with ZERO confidence.

Needs a loan back to Spain for the rest of the season.

Nope. Has lost his explosiveness due to injuries. Could still be a decent striker but will never regain the form he had in '08/09.

For comedy reasons I hope not. Watching £50,000,000.00 sky shot after shot. Lose the ball nearly every time he faces a defender. Misplace every pass. I find it fucking hilarious. Chelsea are cunts.

He won't regain any kind of form until he is sold for something closer to his actual worth, same with Carroll, as it's obviously too much pressure for these lads to deal with.

Kun on the other hand, fucking solid as a rock. Knows he is good enough and justifies his price tag with goal after goal.

I actually still think he has the same explosiveness and same darty-ness. A couple of times last week he drifted through the defenders like the old days. Only to be brought down each time and get no penalty...

It's clearly all a mental thing, cos its still there. You'd be surprised how much quicker/sharper someone seems when they're confident. I genuinely think if he gets a couple of goals then he'll start to score more. You can just see its all in his head...whether he'll get his confidence back is another thing - but i genuinely believe he has the ability still. That 'round the corner' shot he did today was great - just produced a great save, as was the bicycle kick last week, and the two penalty appeals he should have had. He's just desperately unlucky at the moment.

I think he will. He needs to step up in this summer at the Euro, after Villa is almost out. If he performs, that will be the trigger, if not, Paris waits him. Or Malaga.

He was in form and world class for 2-3 years, and now it's been almost 2 years that he's been woeful. If you combine his overall career, he probably comes out average.

Genuinely curious: Can you think of another player who has been so shit for multiple years to actually return to being world class?

Maybe Ronaldo (the real one). He was incredible at Barcelona, then shite with injuries at Inter and then again world class at Madrid.

I just don't want to have to worry about it.

We've seen it happen with lots of different players. They go from hero to zero.

Honestly I don't think he will. Based on the following:

I dont think he will leave chelsea in the near future and I dont think his form will pick up there. He might leave for a lesser team/league at 30/31 but will by then be an ageing star and thus noone will take notice.

It's easy to forget just what an exceptional player he was. Part of me wants to see him get back there because it is a shame to see such a good (non rag) footballer just lose it completely.

Yeah 49 goals in 68 Inter games is a really shite record...

I have no doubt that if we or the rags bought him he'd come good. Staying where he is it will just take longer. He showed enough recently to suggest that once he bags a couple he'll bag a truckload. Hopefully this flood comes after we play them.

Actually, if you watch him his form at the moment is pretty good. Granted he's not as great as he once was as the goals have dried up but he's still a very good player.

I know, making a topic about a footballer on a football forum, what was he thinking?! Slag off some journalists instead ffs!
