Defoe's miss at the end.

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Defoe's miss at the end.

Do you think Ade would have got there and scored? ;-)

He would've beasted Savic in every department imo, and defo got one of his telescopic limbs on the end of that Chimp cross.

I agree he would have arse raped Savic but sprinting forward & getting on the end of stuff never seemed to be an Adebayor speciality to me.

Lescott did absolutely brilliantly to somehow force Bale to delay that cross in spite of being utterly outpaced. If he'd slackened off even half a yard, Bale would have found DeFoe no problem, but he busted a gut to get as close as possible & cut the angle. Superb effort from a big fucker so late in the game.

Possibly the most crucial piece of defending this season, as if we'd lost there with rags winning, Mario banned, the shit would be hitting the fan from the media ten times worse right now. No cunt will give him any credit for it though.

This cunt did. I turned to my mate just after and said Lescott may have just won us the title with that piece of defending.

I said something similar. Had Bale been able to put the ball in even a second earlier it was a simple tap in. Lescott is much maligned and doesn't deserve it.

I'd sooner not.

I thought Lescott did as well as anyone could in that situation and throughout the match.

Lescott's been fantastic this season, had fewer poor games than Vinnie for me. Both are very good defenders.

Lescott's goal was one of the funniest goals I've ever seen live. The Italian commentator actually defined it "a rugby try" lol. But he was great in doing what his primary job is, defending, whenever Savic fucked up against Spurs. The only time he couldn't recover in time was on Defoe's goal.

As for Ade getting on the end of that cross, I think Defoe is actually quicker than Ade thus if he couldn't get on the end of it, nor would have Ade.

It's bale's fault rather than defoe's. Played the ball too late and overhit it when he did. Good defending by lescott but had that been us attacking we'd be mightily pissed off if we didn't score from that.
