Manchester Senior Cup v Bury

This was yesterday and we won 3.1 but what a weird and not very good game.Included in our team were Bridge and Hargreaves. Owen played for just 45 and then Razak got the other 45.The game was weird mainly in the 1st half as we were one down at half time and until the 43 minute I don't even think Bury had the ball in our penalty area at all.And that would inculde the goal which was gifted to them and scored from the edge of the box .

We totally dominated the ball but didnt create the right openings and chances that we should have.Their keeper made the odd save but nothing special and much of the rest was laborious play to the edge of their box and just not enough sharp incisive play at all.

Hargreaves got 45 minutes and that's about all I could say.Razak when he came on I hoped would inject a bit more life into the game and to be fair he did and he scored the equaliser with a shot that I might have saved. From then I felt he got a bit sloppy and casual but as Bury tired we took over and could have scored plenty.The 2nd was from Bridge driving into the box and crossing to the 6 yard area.Hiwula should have scored but Veseli did. Roman got a deflected 3rd cutting in from the left as he does so well.

We had Tomas Diaz Navarrette playing at centre back alongside Veseli. Hard to assess in a match where he had almost nothing to do but he is a big lad and looked tidy. Centre forward was Sarafim Mihajlov who just couldnt get into the game amidst Bury's packed defence. Not a big lad so no weight to throw around.He went off for Hiwula.

Suarez threatened a lot but never delivered.He runs so well with the ball but just when he creates openings and has a chance to shoot he always seems to pass and almso every time it's not a good pass or the other player is just not expecting it.Roman a little the same but he worked hard and deserved his goal.
