I think wenger has got another quality youngster on his books with this lad. I really like the look of him, he makes walcott look like a second rater when he was his age. He has pace, power, skill and i think he is a genuine one to keep an eye on.

Southampton are the new west ham with the quality being produced by their academy.

I’m sure we will sign him from our feeder club once he is a Arse regular and they mess up and let his contract get to within a year of expiring.......

Wasn't Sunday his first start for Arsenal in the Premiership?

Lets see how he goes after he's played 15-20 games.

Walcott is completely stagnating and is no better now than he was 3 years ago. He needs to move or he will start going backwards.

We could swap him for Adebayor, they can have him back to replace RVP, that would upset both the Spurs Fans and the Arsenal Fans in one go.

He did well against us too in the CC. Too early to say he would be good enough for us, he'd be great for arsenal though.:)

He looks a cracking player, as did Walcott ... will Wenger fucl up another player by consistenly playing him out of his best position?

I'll reserve judgement. Walcott was incredible when Wenger 1st got him & nobody knew what he did. Let's see how he looks in two years once the Premier Lg defenders have had a look at him.

I never really saw it with Walcott? I just dont understand why people ever mistook his pace for potential, plus he doesnt seem to have as much of that either anymore?

walcott has pace, and can strike the ball very well ... I've also seen him finish very nicely from tough postitions. Walcott is a striker. Wenger wanted to pull a reverse Henry and turn a striker into a winger. Walcott cannot cross very well, and makes poor decisions attacking from the wing. He should have been played centrally, and I think still would be a good partner for rvp .. .at the very least would open up space for RVP with his runs. Totally played out of position ... unfortuantely for him and arsenal, it didn't work on this occasion. Too much tinkering on this occassion.

Walcott was a bit like the young version of Michael Owen when he 1st came on the scene.

Potentially he is the real deal. He has all the attributes and can go wide to deliver a telling ball or direct on goal to score himself. A defenders nightmare with pace, power and trickery. Walcott is a one trick pony in comparison. He just needs to progress.

.

Totally agree. Oxlade-Chamberlain looked different class to Walcott when he played against us in the CC, confirmed again on his debut start against the rags. His rare ability shone through. Wish we had him and he should go to the Euros instead of Walcott and Lennon.

I imagine Wenger will let him play about 5 games a season for the next 5 years. Completely fucked up Walcott, who IS second-rate now.

A nice bid in the summer should get the Ox.
