Any one else think Johnson may have been offside?
Not one of the replay's show a decent angle to judge it properly.

Must admit I thought the same, but as its us , tv didn't bother to show a conclusive replay, or even mention the possibility.

Dunno but we had about 5 players who could have spotted the danger & stepped in to help Micah but all were busy marking fresh air.

To make a point which no one has raised....Johnson shouldn't have been on the pitch. He should've received a red in the first game and three game ban following the first game.

However, as we have some class, and we're not that saggy faced, "up the apple's and pears", tax evading, jellied eel, chas and dave, car salesman, Oranges & Lemons, all round Cockerneeeeeeeeeeee Wankaaaaaah, Harry Redknapp....we won't

Bellamy is such a warrior. I know we had to get rid of him with all of the firepower on our team now....but I really wish we had him back.

I hope last night puts to bed the argument that Bellamy wasn't good enough for us last season.

Bellamy was always good enough for us....for some games.....but hes not a player who can be relied upon to be fit.

End of really.

Look at everything else besides 1 goal in a game vs us. We won a trophy and finished join 2nd. For fucks sake put this shit to bed. You're stuck in the past

Didn't think so on the night but just watched it now and it does look close ?
Add this to the list in the thread about decisions against us.

But if he'd been at City, he wouldn't have just knocked us out of the Cup in the present. Biggest bollock I can remember City dropping (& there have been a few). Can't ever remember us kicking a player of that quality out of the club for no money. Rodney Marsh is the only one that I can think of, but at least he was out of the country.

This is something that should be remembered as a warning never to do the same in the future. Luckily we didn't give him to Spurs last season, or we may have missed 4th & Bob may have been sacked. We should consider this with Adebayor.

Have you ever thought if he'd have stayed in our dressing room for the last two seasons the team might not have bonded as well and therefore not won as many matches and be 4th or 5th in the table?

It looked to me like Micah was all over the place, but on 2nd thoughts he was trying to put pressure on Johnson then Bellamy and that's probably what created the space for the goal.

Anyone ever seen footage of Bellamy in the dressing room? If we had a weak manager or a bunch of pussies (ala Hughes and Robinho) then Bellamy was needed, an alpha male to lead and set examples. If anyone wasnt pulling their weight I've no doubt Bellers would be laying into them more than Hughes at half time.

However Mancini is in charge of our dressing room now, no doubt. I imagine Bobby didnt want him around to upset the apple cart, Bobby wants things done his way only. With no one getting in the way or arguing. It's working too.

On the pitch, this season, there has probably been 3 or 4 games where him coming on towards the end might have helped. Sunderland, Rags in the cup, Fulham away etc.

All in all, imo, the balance says we don't miss him.
