Liverpool make cheeky attempt to take Tevez on loan
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish would take Carlos Tevez on loan – if Manchester City let their rebel star leave before the window shuts.
Dalglish’s club have made a cheeky approach for the Argentinian who could play for them in their push for the top four and both Cup competitions.
Tevez is currently in dispute with City and still pining for a move to AC Milan, but the Italian giants – and all other interested parties – are unwilling to commit to a full-time deal. So Liverpool have joined the queue of interested parties who would take Tevez on loan, paying his £200,000-a-week wages in the process at the cost of around £5million in rent.
Tevez’s fate will be decided before tomorrow midnight, when the transfer window will close.
Relations between City and their former skipper are so poor that they may block the Milan move and push the Liverpool idea instead.
The Anfield club are furious at suggestions that misfiring £35million striker Andy Carroll was offered in a swap deal as Dalglish wants him to be in his side for the push on three fronts.

Meanwhile, West Ham United will wait until after the transfer window closes to make a last attempt to re-sign Carlos Tevez on loan from Manchester City. Daily Telegraph

Richards relieved at Kompany's return
Manchester City defender Micah Richards has lauded the impending return of club captain Vincent Kompany from suspension.
Kompany, 25, has missed City's last four matches after picking up a controversial red card in his side's FA Cup defeat against rivals Manchester United.
City have won both of their Premier League matches in his absence but the Belgian has seen his side dumped out of the Carling Cup over two legs by Liverpool.
Kompany is poised to make his comeback on Tuesday night for the table-toppers' trip to Everton, and Richards is eagerly looking forward to lining up alongside the commanding centre-back.
Richards said: "He has been an unbelievable miss. He is our captain and he and Joleon (Lescott) have been our best central defensive partnership this season.
"He has played well in the big games and is a leader so it will be amazing to have him back and we can't wait to play with him again.
"He has still been coming in the changing room before games and saying how he feels we can improve, and what he would do if he was on the pitch, so he has still been an influence.
"But it's not nice for anyone. All the players and staff wanted him to play and he was kicking himself because it was another harsh decision to give him the ban. I am sure when he comes back he will give 110% and help us back to winning ways."

OTHER BOLLOX
McLeish does a Twitchy
Alex McLeish has called on the Football Association to investigate an alleged elbow from Arsenal's Robin van Persie after Villa were knocked out of the FA Cup.
McLeish felt the Arsenal captain caught defender Carlos Cuellar as they jumped for a high ball in the 64th minute.
"It was a clear elbow. Would I like the FA to look at it? Yes," said McLeish.
Two Van Persie penalties helped the Gunners to a 3-2 victory after they had been 2-0 down at half-time on Sunday.
Returning to the alleged elbow incident, McLeish added: "Look at my nose, it is a result of elbows all my career. It is something which is dangerous.
"But the referee did not seem to think there was anything in it. I never mentioned it to the referee. I saw it in real time.
"I don't like to point the finger at players, but it has happened to mine enough times."
If it turns out referee Mike Jones witnessed the incident at the time, then no retrospective action can be taken by the disciplinary authorities.
But if he missed any wrongdoing, the FA could ultimately suspend Van Persie.
Villa led 2-0 at the break at the Emirates through a Richard Dunne header and a finish from an acute angle by Darren Bent.
But three goals in seven minutes turned the tie upside down, Van Persie making it 2-1 after Dunne fouled Aaron Ramsey.
Theo Walcott levelled before Van Persie sealed victory with a second penalty after Bent's foul on Laurent Koscielny.

Bit stupid of Micah to grass on his captain that Kompany was kicking himself.
Obviously this self kicking would have been out of the ref's sight and could lead to retrospective action by the FA.

Doubtful that it would ever happen but a ban on RVP would crucify Arsenal's run in. Slowly, slowly , they are sinking.

Given the irrefutable evidence available and the fact that it comes on the back of two other incidents of racism involving the club, it seems to me that Liverpool have got off lightly in the latest Klanfield episode.

If nowt else is happening with Tevez I reckon a loan spell at the Dippers + £5mn wouldn't be bad business. He gets to play against spuds, scum, the arse and chelski.....just a thought

Although we are able to criticise Liverpool for their club's reaction to and defense of the Suarez incident. They can hardly be held responsible for the opinions and actions of a few of their fans.

Perhaps not. They certainly didn't help the situation and IMO sent out the wrong mesaage to their fans. Very dangerous as we may/may not currently be witnessing, depending on your view.

Either way, Im shocked at the lack of press coverage for an incident that is no longer a one off in the case of Liverpool.

We do not want to be helping the scousers gain a champions league place. The longer they are denied a top four finish, the better.

A mad suggestion.

He goes on our terms. To a foreign team, for not a penny less than £25Mil.

I still think Milan may come up with the dosh before the window.closes. They have lost Pato and are already without Cassano. Juve are a threat to them and a fit Tevez would win the the Scuddeto. Daft on their part to pass him up for the sake of a few million.

Id rather him have a chance at taking points of rags and chelsea and help us win the league rather than worry about Liverpool finishing 4th.

If Liverpuddle are genuinely interested in loaning Tevez, I wonder if they'd be prepared to buy him outright and, given King Kenny's propensity for paying top dollar for his purchases, we might get at least £50 million for the Argentinian retard.

Mind you, in future seasons, if that were the case, he might just come back to haunt us.
