Total shite from our front men tonight, I'd have them at Carrington firct thing tomorrow working on the basics.
When we played United and Vinnie was sent off, and furthermore once the penalty was given for 2-0 . Each City player stood off from the tackle for fear , not of injury or losing the ball, but simply for fear of how Foy was going to interpret the next 'coming together' of players...
The argument has it's merits. Yesterday against Everton we were looking quite majestic until...........
Vince gets a very strange yellow card for something quite innocuous.
I simply didn't understand what the ref was doing there.
From there on it seemed to go downhill for us. Barry shouting at the ref questioning his weird decisions. Kun amazed at not getting anything from the ref ( looked to me like man and ball , certainly worse than the foul given for the first filth penalty
last night).
Once Vinnie got the yellow , i imagined everybody thinking "oh no , one more slip up from Vinnie and he's gone for another four games".
That yellow was preposterous, it wasn't a foul and if anything he could simply have had a quick chat to Vinnie, but no, straight out with the card. A joke.
It's no wonder the players are losing it. We are not a dirty team at all, yet we have seen some Red cards verging on the ridiculous. If you look at the Card statistics , we start to look like a rough team, which these players certainly are not.
I really couldn't imagine any of our players hacking at a player the way Rooney did in the England game. The way Rooney dove two footed last season at a Danish player in the CL. The way Gerrard has been known to jump in two footed and injure players. I still haven't seen Lampard's two footer....
I really think after the yellow on Vinnie last night the entire team were bewildered and shaken by this Ref. This was supported later on when the blatant handball from Chuckle 2 was not given ( and no Ross you are wrong , it clearly was a penalty, he had time to get his arm hidden and tucked away, and he moved his arm towards the ball).
When you see Davild Silva immediately after the chuckle 'penalty' shout to the ref and then at the end of his appeal to the Ref cleary speak the word 'F*ck Off', you can see the frustration in the players. I mean David is a nice guy , so him hurling expletives in English is quite a sight !
However , the Chelsea screw up by Clattenprick started the ball rolling. The most clear cut penalty not given since, since, well since Silva was fouled at Bayern....
