Terrible scenes. Egypt and Tunisia are bad places for football violence. Remember when we went Tunisia a couple years ago and there was a local derby in Sousse, the fights on the streets were unreal. Sounds like there was an issue with policing.
I haven't a fecking clue what I'm doing! Gillie come back man I want my sig back. As the Photobucket thingy gone?

Coincidentally, I've been watching this for the last two hours.

I think it was made at a time when it was naively thought that football violence was on its way out.

Unfortunately, scum will always attach themselves to football, here and in Egypt... everywhere.

Agree with that basic analysis....however, here at the moment, there is a fair bit more to it than that.

Am just off to the Russian embassy but will pen a more detailed view when I get back to base

Oi! yer big lump....Fuck russian off to get some cigs...(do they still do Embassy?) and give us your "From our reporter on the spot" latest newsflash. In between convermumbles with pisscans in the back of my cab, I have been trying to follow this story on the radio overnight.

What started out being reported as a football riot incident with over 70 dead, is now being reported as a political event.
Is there any truth in the reports that sections of the old Mubarak supporters have staged this?
Was it an preplanned attack invilving the security forces?
There are also reports that the Cairo fans are seeking reprisals and this could escalate.
Are you safe on the Cairo streets?

Just when I get my own personal, on the spot reporter, he fucks off and defects to the Russkies.

Stay safe Ant.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Seems like it had little to do with football if the claims are true.
