I saw this posted on facebook (after I finally accepted VK's friend request). Haven't watched it yet, but Vinnie thought the vid was a great idea. I'd like one of me that said I was best in the world too I think. Still waiting.

Er ... not just yet. He's a damn good defender. A great Captain too. He must seriously improve his distribution though. He will get there though, no doubt about it.

I know it's a positively selected compilatrion but check his distribution at times in that vid! Not seen him pcik 50 yard volleys down the wing, to feet, too many times.

Best in the World is a daftly extravagant claim for anyone. Vincent Is mint though.

Great video! It's easy to forget that Vince actually is a very accomplished footballer, not just a great defender. He showed some superb technical skills in that clip. To be honest, if he wasn't such a great central defender, i'd be tempted to make anew Vieira out of him.

You could see against Everton as well, that Kompany sometimes tried to vary our game by hitting a long ball/pass every now and then. They were all perfect!

after watching that id be tempted to stick him up top.

He came here as a De Jong style defensive midfielders and hardly put a foot wrong.

His distribution is fine. Would you rather go back to Dunne's punts?!? lol

Agree, along with Vidic, who else would you have there? Always thought carvalho was top class despite him been old, Chelsea's biggest mistake letting him go. I don't rate the two barca have as high as vidic and komps.

absolutely not. imo you don't take your best centre half out of his position unless it is absolutely necessary

I agree but I would like to see Mancini experiment with it against the lesser teams.

I don't want to see Mancini 'experiment' against any side, look what happenend when he's done that in the cups this season! .... by all means give it a go in pre season, thats what they are for but not halfway through a title charge imo

I terms of better center backs, I dont think there is one in the Prem who is better. Vidic is the closest probably.

I dont watch any other leagues bar la liga, mainly the classico teams, and only Pique is a better CB ive seen over the past 12 months.
