Clint Dempsey

Always thought he's been a very underrated player. Not saying he's world class or anything but could do much better than Fulham, would of been a great choice for us as a backup striker. Or would of been a better bet for Pool than Carroll.

A bit like Kevin Davies. A good fucking cunt who's invaluable for his team, but who probably wouldn't work out for a top team.

Not disagreeing with you, but why don't you think he wouldn't work out at a top team?

In addition to showing his quality with Fulham, he's shown he can score against the best on the international level.
Scored against Brazil on 2 different occasions, same against England, also he score a goal against spain to end their 35 match unbeaten run.

I think he'd be at least a decent back up player wherever he went.
Arsenal could do with a player like him.

I agree.

His current team are set up to get the best out of him. Decent player, not good enough for us.

Aside from the fact that we're both American, I've always rated him highly and I think he's better than Landon Donovan and is the best US player we've got. I definitely think he deserves to be on a better team, like Arsenal, where he could have a chance at winning some stuff...he's quite a talented lad.

One of my favourite PL players but don't think he'd make it here! Definitely a whole lot better than Kevin Davies.

Oh he's far better than Kevin Davies. Got bags more ability. He's at least equal to dzeko imo.

I like him, like him alot. His only shortfall is that he's a Septic, which in the eyes of many makes him half a player.

I've never understood the comment "he's not good enough for us" when talking about players.
Why not?
If he gets stuck in; gives 100%; tackles; scores goals; and gets pissed off if he gets beat, what's wrong with that?
Why isn't that "good enough"?

Reminds me of Freddie Ljungberg when he was good at Arsenal rather than shite at Celtic and West Ham.

Word!
Player owns the rap game.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
