Should be with Manchester by 2-3pm. We are expecting it by 5pm tomorrow. Will wait and see but the forecast models look fairly strong for snow.

I'll ask the Mrs to get me some of those mittens, with the string that goes through the cuffs, won't lose 'em then ;-)

Snow way that's happening. Etc.
Seriously though, the only way snow is gonna call the game off, is if it somehow destroys our ever-ready infrastructure, as a leading country in Western Europe, a bit northern like, where we regularly have snow. The ground has technology abounding, undersoil heating, willing pitch-goblins with shovels, scoops and brushes, and hairdryers and that. It's not like a bit of a snowfall after a relatively mellow new year's dose of weather could bring a country like ours to a standstill.
I just poked my nose out of the window anyway, and it's too cold to snow.

I don't know, I can smell it.

Whoops. Sorry. That was me. Dunno what your snow smells like. You get much smog where you're from? Might be infecting the precipitation.

I heard yesterday than no NFL game anywhere has ever been called off. Why does a little bit of snow mean that our game might be off?

It's not about the pitch it's the pavements & roads around the ground that end up having matches called off - I'm with everyone else though, the game shouldn't be called off & everyone needs to man up!

It pisses me off when that happens. I'll decide if it's safe to go out or not thank you very much!
We'd be in trouble if the shops decided to stay closed in case somebody slipped on their way to buy their groceries!

As much as I admire the sentiment KK, you won't. You'll decide that the reward is greater than the risk. Knowing it may not be safe but still wanting to go and support the club. I would do the same by the way but the safety bods look the other way round realising that this is the way supporters think and tend to make over zealous decisions based on the risk. Barmy world we live in at the minute but you should see the risk assessments needed to be in place for the farm, I dread to think what hoops a football club needs to jump through with thousands of people involved!

Any signs of an avalanche around the ground yet, McFlury's or even Bobsleigh or Luge run's?

I hear Patrick has set-up a slalom down Ashton New Road into the ground. I'm just hoping people prepare well and are set to langlauf down to the ground, just in case Patrick's Super G doesn't allow for any Hot-Dogging on the bank near Mary D's ;-)
