He's done so much including selling tours at Chelsea, shagging his mates Mrs and now shrouded in a racist trial. What are your thoughts as I personally feel he shouldn't even be playing for England, never mind being the captain?
I seem to remember him running a bit of a rebellion after he lost it last time (If someone could remind us of the detail?), this should tell you everything you need to know about the man. Why should he be picked this time?

And if that isn't a reason for him not to play then I don't no what is.

John Terry shouldnt be the captain of England because he is a class A c**t.
However which senior player do you replace him with? Gerrard (c**t) Ferdinand (c**t) Rooney (c**t) or perhaps Ashley Cole (c**t).

I remember when Lee Bowyer and Jonathan Woodgate weren't allowed to play for England because the FA banned them while their trial was going on. Hmmmmmmm........

The thing is, is how he got the armband back in the 1st place. Stripped by Capello for his antics regarding a fellow international player then given it back just because they couldn't find someone else. For me, he was one of the main causes of the debacle during the WC and if I remember rightly, came to an interview slating the management, causing a rift in the camp. Wouldn't be surprised if he played the players off against the management as well.
But, why now, why after all this time do the FA now take the decision? We know they are inept and not fit for purpose but this takes the biscuit. And we all thought that Bernstein would be that striving figure for change. Seems that we were wrong.

Timing of this would suggest rags at the top of the FA. Rags up next, he is injured tbh, but no Cole, Ramiers, Lampard, Drogba away. Rooney attacks a plyer from behind they have the brass neck to appeal it, He is a 100% twat no more than Rooney, who has with his family caused as much trouble, and a betting thing that has been made to vanish !

John Terry is an odious prick but if we are ruling odiuos pricks out of captaining England we rule two thirds of them out! I think Gerrard will get it, I think, as already said, the media will want Scotty Parker to get it, I think Micah would be perfect but god alone knows why he isn't even in contention for a place.

Scottyyyyyyyyyyyyyy feckin' Parker, what the hell has he ever done for England? If Gerard is fit to play then he's the obvious choice. Done loads wrong, got away with it every time, that man's got a halo around his England head.

I dislike Terry but this captain stipping stuff is bollox. We used to have 'innocent until proven guilty' in this country not the other way round. Broken Britain part 826

They have not said he cannot play but have taken a decent step of making sure that if he is guilty that he doesn't leave a stain on the England shirt. Out of interest, what would happen to someone in the workplace?

He'd remain in his job until it had been investigated and proved either way ... in general

But I suspect it would have been in court a lot quicker.

Terry should had never been the captain of England, if you ask me. His character and his attitude will always be a problem, no mather what and i really don't think he can motivate his squad. I never saw him looking like a true captain, not even at Chelsea.
I recall a while back an interview with Petrescu, the Chelsea ex-right back and legend, and he said that when Terry was promoted by Gullit at the Chelsea's first team, at the first training he went and hit Petrescu with an elbow, at a corner and then spit him.
Petrescu then gave him a hell of a beating and was held back for doing something stupid by Zola and Flo.
