^^^^^ this. He's criticised far too easily just like the original poster. Also, Dzeko - wank. WTF?! Did you actually watch the game?!?

Incidentally I reckon Savic looked quite alright today too. Played a couple of blinding passes out of defence that set us on an attack. Could never imagine Lescott trying those.

Interesting reading all this to see some of the usual suspects getting criticism.Nothing wrong with some criticism of course but when it follows another post suggesting that same player was man of the match it is funny and typical.
In so many matches this season we have had a number of stand out players who compete for motm but maybe not this one as it was a win without ever hitting real heights. Thankfully Fulham had no penetration even though they had plenty of the ball I thought Dembele looked very good in midfield but somehow still couldnt find that final ball. Maybe that's because in central defence we got it right today with both Lescott and Savic playing well and reading runs well.
The best 2 for me were Kolarov and Aguero for what they contributed through the whole match with AJ worthy of a good mention.

I didn't see enough of the game, although I was listening to most of it, but I think this was the perfect game for Savic to regain some confidence and although he'll need stiffer tests to 'prove himself', I thought he did well today, and kudos to Mancini for sticking with him, and to Lescott who helped him along.
From what I did see, and in various highlights, Kun was buzzing, and that was a great shot of the look of delight on his face after he'd unselfishly handed Dzeko a goal on a plate.
I think that alone could not only do wonders for Dzeko's, and the team's morale, but also why I'd have Kun over Diva Tevez, every time.
That game did wonders for Silva, also, to help him recover his early season form
And Nasri wasn't too shabby, either
btw, whose idea was it to let Joleon Lescott take a free kick?

kolarov's best game for us so far ... put in some really excellent crosses (best i've seen from a city player in a long time)

I think Savic for a yong lad has a real mental resolve. He's been openly ciriticsed in the media which will be difficult to ignore unless he burries his head in the sand and even if he does he will know that his errors have been costly.
With this in mind he always looks remarkbly comfortable on the ball. This is a real attribute and if he is able to learn - he is still very young - then I think he could be a good defender.

Aguero was the best player on the pitch - has had a terrific first season in England already, his workrate, goalscoring and with none of the histrionics Tevez used to bring to the piece.
Nasri continues to disappoint for me.
Kolarov produced some fine crosses, a couple of excellent cross-field passes, some lackadaisical tracking back in defence and a moment of madness that was needless when we were 3-0 up.
