A day like this ...

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

A day like this ...

Postby BobbyJ1956 » Sat Feb 11, 2012 3:42 am

This is what I'm looking forward to, a moment when it all comes true, sometime in April, a day like this one from the last time.
City take a step closer to it by winning well at Villa on Sunday.

Hope the link works!

05 May. City away to Newcastle.

Personally I'd prefer a scarf waving, stroll at somewhere like Wolves as we win it by about 15 points.

Pitch invasion, 17 point deduction, lose out on Europa Fair Play position to Swansea.

Thanks for that Bobby....At the end of this season I will be able to update some great memories.

Hartshead Moor services absolutely choc full of City coaches and fans singing and dancing.
Almost every car on the M62 flying a blue scarf from the windows.
Our coach getting a puncture that took a coach full of Blues only minutes to sort out.
A huge furniture van full of City fans having a party in the back.
The roads in Newcastle blocked by City fans walking to the ground.
The Newcastle fans being stuck up in the far corner of the Leazes End cos there was no room for them in the stand.
Over 26,000 City fans in St James's Park.
The thunderous noise from City coming out til the final whistle.
Our 1st goal....and only minutes later, their equaliser...shit!
Our 2nd goal....and only minutes later....their 2nd equaliser...shit...shit!
Our 3rd goal
Our 4th goal....CHAMPIONS.....?????
Their 3rd goal...shit...shit...shit!!!
Being told the rags were losing to Sunderland at the swamp....and not beleiving it.
Standing on next to Ken Mulhearns goal post shitting it for the last 10 minutes.
Finding out that 10 minutes can last for an hour.
The final whistle.
Delirium!!!!...singing...dancing...singing...chanting....singing...crying....drinking....drinking...drinking.
Staggering down the middle of Princess Parkway, pissed as a newt about 5am...still singing and chanting.

I am avbsolutely convinced we can win this....get ready for the biggest parrrrrrty of your City lives.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT

Say no more. The thought has my cheeks tingling.

We're gonna win the league
We're gonna win the league
And now you're gonna believe us
We're gonna win the league

Repeat ad nauseum (which is impossible)
