Time for Champions

If that's what we are, then it's time to show it. No more half arsed dithering displays like at Everton. We have a nice group of winnable games coming up which could see us come out with a nice little points advantage over the rags; enough for us to slip up in a game or two but still win the title by beating them.

If we are good enough & deserving champions we will take this opportunity. If not, chances are the rags will be coming to our place looking at a point being a great result.

They are big favourites to win every single game between now & the end of the season bar v us & Spuds. If they do slip up anywhere else, it will be a shock. We have Arsenal Stoke & Newcastle to travel to & Chelsea at home. We have to cash in on the 4 games coming up or we have chucked away any advantage & left ouselves with no room for error.

The title may be decided before we play at Arsenal, even if we don't know it.

Totally agree on that. It scare the bejeezus out of me how everything's going their way at the moment. We can't count on any favours, and basically have to win every game from now on in.

I cant ever see the scum coming to city wanting only a point, even more so with baconface still there. If they come to ours with anything less than 3 points between us, they will have their tails up looking to shit in our back yard make no mistake.

Totally agree. We have to get at teams from the off especially away from home. Villa's morale is obviously not great and there's no excuse for not taking full advantage tomorrow. I hope Barry plays well. The crowd will get in his face all through the match and he mustn't let them get inside his head as he did in his first match for us against Villa when his performance was utter shite. Yaya and Kolo will be back for the Bolton match so that will be a nice bonus.

Agree that we need to start more quickly. Get a couple in the first 20 tomorrow and they'll fold. But I suspect he'll have an eye on Thursday and we'll have half a team missing and will try and win it without running.

Mancini needs a big picture of the league trophy next to one of Mourinho, just in case he gets any daft ideas about what's important this season and picks Kolarov again

Sorry to say it but I don't really give a fuck about Thursday. Hands up those who would find the Europa Cup any sort of consolation for coming third to the scum and twitcher.

Just a general moan - not necessarily aimed at you in particular, but............

With respect I think that is just bollocks - and the sort of attitude I expect from scum fans - we had the same bollocks before the CC semi against Liverpool

Yes if given a straight choice - PL or EL well of course we would take the PL - but that it is not how it fucking works!!!!

If we are good enough to end up winning the PL it will be because we have a very good team and squad playing with confidence and having the momentum that comes from winning games.

We have won 1 fucking trophy in 36 years - and speaking as someone who has been to most of the games in those years (and will be at Porto) all this fucking shite about certain trophies 'not being important' is the sort of stuff that I expect from the shallow fucking plastic tarts that you see at the swamp - actually not even them - just the plastic hangers-on that are what most of their supporters are – hopefully we will not get so fucking pompous just ‘cos we have won 1 cup.

If we are not confident enough to go out and play well at Porto then we will probably not be playing in the sort of form that sees us win PL games either – we need to a) get our swagger back and b) stop suffering from the sort of continuous poor refereeing decisions that sap confidence and fluency.

Thankfully I do not think that Bobby looks at things in such a spoilt brat way – I cannot stand the sort of scum twats that have already devalued the CC and FA cups through their shit-hole arrogance – lets not get like them shites heh!!

FFS if our best starting XI cant handle 2 games in 5 days (followed by a week off!) we dont deserve to win anything.

I did say play the kids in the early rounds of the CC but the Europa is different. One thing to consider is that the Rags are in it with us and that can only be a good thing while we're both there. It will create interest and therefore, more publicity.

At the moment it's not about the money (which is minute compared to the CL) but the european/global audience is priceless at the moment.

Just going back to Ted's original point, the Champions will be the team that makes the least mistakes as the pressure piles on. We have to be able to be impervious top the pressure and push on regardless of what others do. It is in our hands and we have to keep control.

Despite what the media would have us believe about the teams at the top and their current form...We seem to have imploded over the lastfew weeks....or have we?

Since the halfway stage of the season; Spurs have dropped 7pts in their last 7 games, the rags have dropped 8pts in 7 games, Newcastle have dropped 9pts in their last 7 games, Arsenal have dropped 11pts in their last 7 games, Chelsea have dropped 12pts in their last 7 games and Liverpool, who the media are telling us have improved dramatically, have dropped 15pts in their last 7 games.

Poor City who having lost Yaya and Kolo to the ACoN plus Kompany and Balo to bans, have completely imploded and struggled badly have.....actually dropped only 6pts in our last 6 games, prior to our 7th game at Villa tomorrow.

We could implode our way all the way to becoming Champions....poor City eh!

Ted I've seen enough shit teams over the years to know that this is easily the best team we have had since the glory days of the 60s and I am absolutely convinced that we will be the 2012 Premier League Champions. We are impeccable. Come on City!!!

I think it's just pragmatism. Through injuries and suspensions, parts of the squad have looked pretty threadbare lately. Another 7 or so games in the Europa League over the next three months isn't going to help that.

The Liverpool team selections were frustrating, but if that's how the cups are treated when there's a potential final against a Championship team ahead, why expect that we'll go all out in the round of 16?

Seconded. That sort of attitude fucks off those of us that go away to places like Porto to support the team and then come on hear and have people posting how shit the atmosphere is. A more diplomatic approach would be that it`s a second choice cup in the grand sheme of things as spending £600 to watch the EDS would be wrong to say the least, do you not agree?

I think Mancini and ADUG will both be in agreement over which team plays which comp.

1st team = Prem
2nd team = Europa.

I'm counting on the link with us and ADUG's name and them wanting to be associated with being the best ie champions of the best league in the world and not associated with a team that failed in the 'elite' European competition so went on to beat europes division 2. I think the phone call was made the day we lost to Napoli arranging the meeting that told Mancini in no uncertain terms, champions and nothing less.

If we can win the Europa or have a good run without it impacting on the league then fine but from what I remember the Europa last time had a serious impact on our league form (see fulham@H. 1-1). For the 1 trophy in 35 years lot, winning the league will put us on the path to so much future glory by knocking the 'cup final' attitude out of teams like everton and will put more pressure on the rags as teams might start playing against them when they haven't won the league for a while making our job so much easier in the future.

In summary the Europa can go die on its arse and the kids can play. Will be good for them.

We have enough players to put a strong 11 out for the Europa. Players who are not being used on the weekend plus a few youngsters.

If any of those players, other than the youngsters, can't perform individually to the level required, we should get rid of them at the end of the season as they are not good enough to fufil their purpose. This is why we have a squad. If we can't use it, it's a waste of time & wages & we need to sign players who we can use.

Seconded. I'm not sure that sort of team can win the Europa but that's another question. What would infuriate me is Mancini putting out a strong team and then using tiredness of key players for us playing shite and dropping points at the weekend. I do see the point about fans travelling to away Europa Cup matches and expecting a decent show, however. Personally I think it's a mickey mouse competition precisely because teams failing to qualify for the Champions League knock out get another chance. Neither the scum nor us should be in this competition.
