Lescott

In 1970, I recon the bloke would have been a fucking hero.

The transfer fee, the fact tha Youtube & God knows what shows everybody the highlights of smartarsed cunts who pass the ball like fucing Beckenbauer but never shows them heading a ball from Crouch one week & tackling Van Persie the next, well basically, you're all a bunch of cunts, he's a top player & I wouldn't swap him for Ledly fucking King, or John Terry or Wio or any other cunt you could bullshit up.

Yes he will make a mistake, so will Vinny, Wio, Terry etc etc. None of them will get the same shit when they make it. Just Lescott.

It's time you cunts accepted him as a fully fledged MCFC player, A CHARACTER LOVED BY HIS TEAM MATES & got behind him, rather than picking out every fucking mistake.

He's earned his colours, he's one of us.

I agree. I think he's top. Very solid defender who has been better than Vinnie this year.

the only reasonable response you could have made.

Moyes had us stitched up like a kipper on his transfer. 8 or 9 million was tops, anything more and Everton were taking the michael. He is a good defender as was Dunninho, a few mistakes but decent. He can also chip in with a few goals.
Kolo and Worf are not what we need as starters. We need better to go along our world class captain.
So what if you are in love with him? Players love the manager until he moves on, then they always comment on the "improved atmosphere", "better tactics", "the sun shines out of the arse of the new manager" blah blah.

If Lescott is all you think he is, every big club in the world will want him. If we said he could go would the big clubs come in for him?
Just think ifVinnie was available. Scum, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter, rent boys and many more would be falling all over themselves. Who would come in if Lescott was available, Villa, Everton, perhaps Spurs. No he aint all that.

i believe you are incorrect. CARL would not be in for him and neither Spanish club would, but he'd get plenty of looks from great clubs. He's not even reached his peak yet. I can tell you that THEY would love to have him right about now.

cheers

If we didn't get him when we did, he'd be in an Arsenal shirt by now. (and probably bought for half the price we paid)

Our defence is the stingiest in the league. Worf is a major contributor to this. I've not been his biggest fan but he is ideal for the prem.

I agree completely, he has been immense all season. Although I admit he wasn't great for a while after he signed, I think hes been consistent all year and can't remember many mistakes of his. I'm not sure why he gets the stick he does, there are a lot of times I don't understand our own fans.

As above, he's been better than Kompany this season, and Vinnie's been great.

Our most composed CB at this point. Vinnie was driving mad hoofing the ball forward and giving it away all game.

Lescott skill on the touch line was sublime, if silva had done it we'd all be raving. Well played Joleon.

I think he has been excellent all season and was slated on non man city forums for putting him in my team of the year ahead of kompany.

Also in fairness to him, in the pre season training vdeos a couple of the players noted how lean he looked and how hard he was working, it just goes to show if you put the work in you will be rewarded. A far better option than Kolo and is a great compliment to kompany.

I can't see it at all. Often looks shakey to me. Not sure why he backed off bent, who was then left 3 yards out, totally unmarked only for Joe to produce an amazing save. Alright, I'll not pick up every error, that would be harsh, but I do think he makes mistakes more often than we should expect. He was better than Vinnie yesterday though, no doubt. Our defence has a great record, so it's probably best to shut up about them. I'd make an allowance for Kolarov, however, who is utter fucking shite. At football.

I've been saying all along the kid will come good..and that's exactly what he is doing. He will also get better.

I'll be gutted for him if he gets dropped when Kolo comes back. The two centrebacks don't need rotating. The more they play together the better.

I agree with you two. He has had a very good season, following on from a very good second half of last season.

Solid at the back, pinched a vital goal and has been solid all season for us. "Nods acknowledgement"
