Thiago Silva

Did anyone see Thiago Silva in action for AC Milan against the Arsenic last night ??

Didn't see the game myself but I know that Ted (Hughes) seems to like this player and we have had some recent discussions about the centre half requirements, in our line-up. On that basis, I wondered how he performed......or were Wenger's mob so abject that he had an easy, evening stroll ??

Did anyone see anything which might indicate Bobby Manc would be enthused to sign him in the summer ??

Wasn't tested last night.

He's an excellent centre half. Still reckon your man Subotic is a better bet.

Looks nothing like suitable for Premierleague. Far from dominant in the air. Teams like Stoke would just hoof balls over him.

That's why you wouldn't play him against Stoke. You play Lescott.

Thiago Silva would be the guy who marks the tricky, fast, players especially in the Champion's Lg, or the third player in a back 3. In short, he would give us variation; the things we lack as opposed to say Savic, who gives us an inferior version of what we've already got.

Personally I want steady CB partnership who compliment each other.
