Are There Any Circumstances?

When Bob could or should be sacked?
If we fail to win the League?
If we implode and only finish 3rd or 4th and therefore below last season?
If we somehow managed to blow CL qualification?
If we finished the season empty handed?
I think a lot of us would be a bit miffed if we won nothing.

Oh aye. I maybe should have listed the possibility "Jose is available"

I'm suddenly feeling very desperate to win the league this season so A we don't sack him and B we win it before Jose is back in the prem.

If we don't win the league and Jose is coming back would you rather it be here or at Chelsea?

Hmmm. Gut feeling is I'd rather he wasn't at City. I really want Bob to create a legend at City, even though I still have times when I'm not fully convinced by him.

If we would totally implode and miss the CL I think he would have to go. With all the quality we have in our squad, that would be a sure sign that there's something not functioning well between the payers and the management.

Won't happen, though.

We will finish second at very least and that will be enough. He's done far more good than bad and I'm very happy with him.

Despite the perks of managing us (huge spending power) there are also some down sides. Expectation, Tevez situation, pressure applied from the press and having to handle some players who perhaps thought they were doing us a favour by being here. I think he's coped with all this well and he has proved himself to be a strong and shrewd manager.

I also think there is a wider context to this and that is the need for the owners to prove they have patience. I believe they do and I don't think Bobby has to win the league this season to keep his job.

For me, there are no circumstances whatsoever.

Even if he got us relegated, I'd still want to keep him and, this season, if we gain one more point from our last thirteen games, we'll be mathematically safe from 'the drop'.

Forza Bobby Manc.

If he suddenly started picking stupid teams & using tactics which caused us to slide down the table & sabotaged our chances of top 2, then of course he would be sacked, but let's face it; he won't. He will get us through this season as a big improvement on the last, which was the idea.

Then, next season, he is expected to improve us some more. If he doesn't, the board will look at it but it will depend on who is available to them. Guardiola may become a danger to Bob, but even so, I expect him to be offered a new deal; then it depends on what he wants to do.

Bob is good manager, but i don't think we will grow bigger that the level we are now. Imho, we reached the maximum this season with him as a manager. The only thing that i hate about him and i think is the main reason that he can't take us to the next level is because he isn't a good motivational manager. He can't bring the players around him and lead them to a comeback in games where we are one or two goals down. This is the most important thing that he can't change and can make us grow.
But tbf, the almost everyday example is this: Even Taggart had four poor seasons in the swamp before starting winning stuff. The main advantage that Mourinho have is that he can win games even when the team is playing shite. At this moment, we can't do that. If we did, now we would had been many points ahead.

Apart from the one we've just played.

No. I can't think of a reason to sack Mancini.

Beside the game at Porto, do you remember any game when we came back from behind and win it? (The only other example is the Villareal game).

We've not really had many losing situations to come back from either. We've lost a few games late on, and a few to better opposition (Napoli, bayern)

Bobby for PM.

Would NOT like to see Jose at the rags, however unlikely that now seems to be.

The fact of the matter is we lost that game.

Exactly this. We take the lead in almost every game. I'd much rather that than go a goal or two behind and have to fight back all of the time.

We are not behind that often, mate, so there aren't going to be that many.

From memory, Wolves in the League Cup, QPR in the league. We were losing at home to Napoli as well. That is quite a good proportion of the times we have been behind, Pete me old mucker.

I simply can't for the life of me understand why the thought would even enter anyone's head.

This present City team is several miles ahead of any City team that we have ever had in our long and celebrated history. No City fan since our inception has witnessed a City team with anywhere near our current record....and although I can willingly accept posts that analyse and discuss our players, their attributes and form, reading some of the ridiculous criticisms that some post about certain individual players and even Mancini, defies common sense.

Not only isn't it NOT broken, it certainly DOESN'T need fixing...and WE HAVE NEVER, NEVER, EVER HAD IT SO FUCLIN GOOD.
....and some of you still want to whinge and moan....GOD HELP US.

But this doesn't necessarily means we won the game. This season was little better, but still we managed to have even two goals up front and couldn't keep the score.
