Merson Says "If City Don't Win The Title"

Last week the cretinous one suggested that if City don't win the league this season that "I honestly don't believe they ever will"
The basis of his argument is simply that Arsenal and Chelsea won't be this bad again, Liverpool are getting better and Spurs are a force now. Filth won't have such a weakened squad again so it's "now or Never"
Following on from the "who needs it most " thread....Is he right?

No, of course not. You answered your own question - he's a cretin.

Why would you go from something that clown says? That's as stupid argument as any anyway.

You lost me at the "Merson says" bit.
He has no credibility, no self-control, no discipline and what becomes clear ever more each day with Merson himself is that while the engine may be running there's nobody at all behind the wheel.

Ok Ok, I was only asking!
I did wonder if anybody would put forward an argument as to why these clubs wouldn't improve, or even that City will be even stronger next season and beyond.

I think he's on dodgy ground re Liverpool as, by my reckoning, they're getting worse in the League - a situation only covered up by their Cup runs and they were very fortunate to beat us in the Carling Cup.
Arsenal and Chelsea are both faced with the prospect of spending a king's ransom to rebuild their two sides and Arsenal will have to tear up their salary cap as well, in order to attract top players. Don't know how such spending will affect their FFP prospects.
I'm still convinced Twitcher's lot will implode and collapse completely and they too need to do some serious spending on new players as they have a lot of older crocks in their (oversized) squad. Moreover, they aren't going to get 'gifts' such as Adebayor every year.
The Scum have been getting worse with each recent season (owners and debt situation), so I don't know how he can say they'll never be this weak again, especially as they still depend on Giggs and Scholes and Fergiescum won't last forever anyway.
All in all, Merson is trying to be profound and is letting his hatred of City get into the way of reason :- if all the other Clubs highlighted by him need to spend big, we're better placed than most to outspend them all and he's not thinking things through to their logical outcome.

Unless Arsenal go about and spend about £80m and bring in 4 or 5 quality players, they arent going to be any better. In fact they will be weaker when RVP pisses off in July after the Euro's.
As for the others, who knows. Id say there's a better chance we are even stronger next year than all the others mentioned though.
2009/10 - 5th
2010/11 - 3rd
2011/12 - 1st or 2nd
Anyone see an upwards pattern here where City are concerned?

In fact, I'm going to stick my neck out and say that if we can keep this core of team together, we will win more than one title in future.

So let me get this straight; he thinks everybody but City, the team currently topping the Premier League, will improve ?
And he's basing this 'evidence' on ?

We have got the biggest financial backer in world football and we can't improve? I'd enjoy hearing the logic behind that little gem. I expect it's something his mate Charlie told him.

The only time I know what the cunt says is when it is repeated on here. That would suggest that those who have to repeat the bullshit he spouts want to support him.Do people secretly like him?Ignore what he says and the powers that be will get rid of him.

I am worried, no really worried....not about City but about Piccs....I can only think having looked at the threads started today that it was a bleak night in Honley...and a mega hangover today.
It started with "who needs it most", was followed by "Should we sack Mancini" and now we have the even more ridiculous "Is Merson right"
Poor Piccs.....Our thoughts and best wishes are with him....In loving memory of a lovely lad, devoted to his motor bike and gay power ranger outfit....I will miss him. Did he overdose on Yorkshire tea?
On a trip to Loch Ness 2 years ago, my then 4 year old grandson told me that while the adults had been chatting, he had seen the Monster. It came near him and went Chomp! I gave him a smile and a hug and patted him on the head. It is really all you need to do with Merson when he comes out with rubbish as ridiculously romantic as my grandson.

By his argument, if we do win the title, it'll be a one off anyway as everyone else will improve. Best make the most of this season's finish then, as looks like we'll be in a relegation scrap in a couple of years.

City will pay the biggest wages in the league for the foreseeable future...
The team that pays the biggest wages tends to have the best players...
The team that has the best players tends to win the league...
there is your argument
