Tonight's Football...

Just incase anyone wasn't aware...

Sporting Lisbon v Legia Warsaw is on ITV4 tonight. 8:05pm kick off.

Scores are level and it's City to play the winner so will be a good chance to check out what we'll be up against.

Usual high-end punditry from Gordan Strachan, Boudewijn Zenden and the host of hosts, Mr Matt Smith.

Just watching the Rag v Ajax game and they've just said Mancini and Redknapp will be sat together here in a couple of weeks when City play Spurs. Isn't it usually the other way around, getting us mixed up with the Rags?

How far we've come, eh.

Saw the end of the Valencia-Stoke match. The Stoke fans seemed to enjoy themselves there and why shouldn't they. it was fabulous journey for them and who knows how long they will have to wait for their next chance!

btw the following teams have gone through in EL:
CITY
Valencia
Udinese
PSV Eindhoven
Athletic Bilbao
Twente
Standard Liege
Hannover 96

plus basically Metalist Kharkiv who are at home and in a 5-0 aggregate lead.

Watching sporting vs Legia, and if we can't beat both of these over 2 legs than we have absolutely no change of winning the league.

Also Ajax pull one back on United, and heres a highlight from the game:

Bugger, was hoping Moscow would beat Bilbao just to give the rags a horrid trip. Hopefully Lisbon get through as it's be a better trip for us

Highlights thus far are that the Sporting coach looks like an anorexic Liono, and Legia's badge is just a big green 'L' in a circle. Makes them look like recently qualified footballers. That and the fact that they're crap.

Anyone have a bet on there being two Peruvians get mystery injuries and go off within two minutes of each other? I regret not having gone for it now.

Ajax just pulled one back with 3 mins left. They've gotta be all-out for another and they'll go through. What chance of that though?

Well, Rags through but lose 2-1 at home; and aren't the commentator's let them know it - 'It shouldn't have been like this'!

Didn't get the usual 7 mins injury time - funny that.

I didn't want to mention it, tin foil hat and all that. We've seen that many Euro refs give little or no time at the half but 2 mins at the end seemed rather stingey. Makes you wonder who will get the best audience figures for the sponsors; they've got it sorted this year.

And that Fabio dive, that was top quality and deserved a good kicking. Pity nobody sorted it while he was down.

Had nipped out in the car and the muppet show on Radio 5, Lawrenson and some no mark, were waxing on about how great Scholes was.

He committed his umpteenth blatant foul and they both laughed, and credited him for "knowing what he's doing there." - Unreal. That dirty twat's had a free pass on fouls for years, just cos its Scholesy and he cant tackle you see!

Anyway, they were also going on about how in his 8 games since coming back he hadnt lost once - apparently the defeat at Liverpool in the FA Cup didnt count because he'd gone off at 1-1. Anyway, Ajax's late winner pissed on those chips for em, oh how I laughed.

Sporting are 11 points behind Porto and 4th in the Primeira at the moment.

That dive was beautiful.

3 mins usually is the norm for the Euro refs.

It was the same here in the Prem, until we lost 4-3 to United with the [strike]4[/strike] 7 minutes injury time. Then automatically overnight, 4/5 minutes becomes the norm in Prem games.

Funny that...
