And then there was "two"

Seeing that the best team in the world lost today it leaves us and the scum.

They are not going to go away.

Every team in the league will want to beat the evil monster that is City , whilst trying to keep the status quo with good old uncle Alex.

It aint going to be easy and the media, pundits and all the arse lickers will now be out in force.

We are the best team in the country but it may not be enough.

Nobody listens to me. I've been telling everybody this since before we played them.

Obviously I would have rathered norwich held on today but I can see real signs that we are turning into the machine we were earlier in the season, with the added experience of coming from behind and also scrapping when its not happening.

Bring it on. Its ours.

if we can keep at least a 2 point lead till end of march we have a great chance, allows us to draw 1 and they win one and were still top, if
we can manage to get a 5pt lead after next weekend well be laughing, it took them from 23 oct till nearly christmas to claw back a 5pt lead before.

If I make the wild assumption that we will maintain our superb home record the key to winning the league will be to win more away games where we have not been very convincing for a while. In the last 7 league away game we have only scored 4 goals and won 2 drawn 2 and lost 3.Granted we have only let in 5 goals but it does tend to say something about the form we have been in,the change of approach to away games or both.

It's essential we win at least 3 and probably 4 of the remaining games on top of maintaining a great home record. Can we do it, you bet we can but it won't be easy.Funny too there are pundits/press whatever saying it should be ours bla bla and making it sound very easy but equally there are plenty saying the scum are perfectly placed to waltz passed us the second we slip up which we are bound to do.

It's definitely keep the belief time, one game at a time and beat the scum when they come to the Etihad.

seen a change in the last 3 games though proberbly because Toures back, but we have our swagger back just at the right time, reckon our away form will improve

I sure as hell hope you are right and I have that feeling as well but 5 of those away games were with Yaya in the team.

true but do think the first loss at chelsea took a while to get over, we have had a very hard dec & jan fixture wise, be it in the prem,CL, FA cup or CC, just have a feeling we are getting back to what we were like pre december

Pizzaro is the key. You heard it here first!

I think the two keys to away form are first of all to show the terrier spirit we demonstrated yesterday when we haven't got the ball and second be more lethal in front of goal (which recently we haven't been). You don't get as many chances away so you really need to be clinical. Aguero and Balotelli can do the business if they're in any sort of form and I'm confident we'll pull it off. Actually whichever way you slice it the home game against the rags is key if we do the double I can't see us failing. We're better than they are and I'm confident we'll show it. Wouldn't it be good to seal the deal at home against the scum?

By the way I disagree that Spurs need to win against the scum to maintain their title challenge. We can lose three matches now and still beat them and that assumes they don't drop a single point between now and the end of the season which is not realistic. Spurs are not going to win the league and even Twitcher knows it. If we play so badly that we let Spurs in the scum will take the title. No Spurs need to win next week to prevent themselves getting sucked into a dogfight for third or even fourth place.

Spurs have been out of the title race for yonks. You may get one side dropping a load of points but for them to figure it would need City & Utd to both drop loads of points & them to not drop any. Neither outcome was ever going to be realistic.

We can only rely on ourselves but Doug is right, the key to winning it will be beating them at The Etihad, and improving our away form drastically.

All we need to do is play Dzeko every week, give the ball to Dzeko all the time and Dzeko will single-handedly win us the league.

It's that simple.

According to a few people on here anyway :-)

really fancied norwich to hold 'em to at least a draw - I can just see them pipping us at the final hurdle
After all we're in the run of easy games and they are meant to be dropping points however they don't seem to be following the script

Their run in except for their trip to the Etihad could not be easier:

West Brom (h)
Wolves (a)
Fulham (h)
Blackburn (a)
QPR (h)
Wigan (a)
Villa (h)
Everton (h)
Swansea (h)
Sunderland (a)

Is it me or could it not be any easier?!

Next weekend is critical. There could be just one! Surely we can hold a five-point gap if we beat them at home, which is essential?
