Lescott Call Up

Joleon's just been drafted into the England squad to replace the injured Glen Johnson.

Although he should have been called up in the first place, it's nice to see 6 of our squad in the National Team, fingers crossed they all come back unscathed.

Well in J-Les. Should have been in the original squad but when Pearce is the manager what hope has anyone got?

Micah was saying that in an interview the other day, too, apparently...

Shows that Pearce, in his infinite wisdom, was planning on playing Micah at CB then and is now going to play him at right back instead because walker is injured. Like some kind of football knowing type guy person.

Funny how a few teams (rags and spuds) seem to be experiencing a sudden increase in injuries. English players. As if some managers think England are a joke and there players have more important things to do. If bob did this as a foreigner he would be fucking crucified.

SP should know above all others, Micah isn't mentally quick enough to play CB. That sounds harsh, I love him still. Best RB in the world at the moment?

Only an England Manager (and maybe sparkless) would consider picking the best RB in the league at CB when he hasn't played there for 5 years, ahead of the best CB (on form) in the best defence in the league.

Utter fuckwittery - i'm sure its a mandatory requirement for the England job

Was a daft decsion by SP to not call up Joleon but now his hand has been forced. So let's see how half of City's defence will do against the Dutch especially RVP !
Super Mario has been dropped by Italy as their manager thinks that he is too volatile and can cost the team a sending off any time ! Well he should have called Bob and asked for his advice on how to handle Mario but I guess they're not friends !

which is an absolutely shit stance and decision to make for a friendly match. He should just come out and say that he doesn't like Mario. would be more truthful

Great news for us. Mario will be trying extra hard to keep his head screwed on between now and the Euros.

Pearce is one of the worse managers around still getting away with robbing a living. This decision in the 1st place was another one in the list of stupid decisions hes made as manager. There is no hope for him he is utterly clueless, would love to see him get the job for the Euros cause he would make a shambles of it!

Is true, but the decision reminds me of when the dutch national coach wouldn't pick Nigel because of the media frenzy over his "tackle". Same thing has happened here - Italian coach is punishing Mario for nothing

I'm not happy with this. We could possibly see 6 of our players play a full 90 in a friendly when we have to play on Saturday, rather than the Rags who've pulled some of their players and who play a day later.

Yes, it'll be great for the players and I'm proud for them to be playing for England but it fucks me off how a RB drops out and our CB is drafted in. Barmy twats!

Not at all. Prandelli left him out because of the Parker kick thing & his general knack for such antics, which is perfectly acceptable. Mario has become an integral part of the Italy setup under Prandelli, so to insinuate that he doesn't like Mario is bit of a shit stance imo.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bob was consulted, too. After all, Bob has left out Mario to brood over his bullshit a couple of times himself. On top of that it's a nice little day off in place of another midweek trip.
