My big day out....

Myself and 9 friends were invited to spend the day in platinum box 4 for yesterdays game, so we all met up at the ground for 2pm to get in nice and early for some nibbles and to get the drinking started. We were all sat around the table having some soup when a hand touches my shoulder. I turn around and cannot speak. "I'm Colin Bell" he says, which I was fully aware of, but totally frozen to my chair.
So Colin spends the next 10 mins along with Paul Lake, who I've met enough times to consider him a mate now, chatting away with us all, then they left us to get back to our soup.
We made our way to the private seats outside our box, and its seemed next door but one was empty, until Nigel De Jong comes out and takes a seat with his stunning Mrs and two lovely kids. He was literally 6 seats away from me. So anyway I went over to him and explained he'd recorded a message for me and signed a shirt. He remembered who I was when I told him that, and shook my hand etc. I asked him if he'd be ok to nip over to our room at half time, and he explained he was with his family but he'd do his best.
So anyway we carried on drinking and nibbling on our free food but no visit from Nigel at the break. It got to about 85 minutes and Nigel disappeared with his family, so that's fair enough being with his family and that. We all went back in the box after the game, when all of a sudden there was a knock at the door. I just assumed it was a member of staff, but no, its was Nige. He came in for about 5 minutes, had some photo's took, signed a few autographs, and had a chat with me about how my treatment is going etc, then he left with his family in tow.
It really was a brilliant day, all my mates loved it, and I cant explain how much I loved it, there are no words. Its something I could never have afforded to do, and boxes aren't cheap so thanks to City for sorting it all out free of charge.
Want to say thanks to Danny Wilson for sorting it out, he's a great guy that is willing to bend over backwards to help a blue out.
Cheers,
Bingo
