Never good when a player goes down without anyone touching him. I am fearing the worst.

Calf injury according to Stu Brennan, agreed when it happens off the ball never a good sign, but at least we have KT to take over & we aren't relying on Savic

Now then, cast your minds back to a few hours ago, when Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany went off with an injury. I've got an update for you. City boss Roberto Mancini said: "I hope that for Vinnie, the injury will be short.
"When you have a calf (injury), it can be a big problem. I hope he can recover in 10 days, two weeks maximum. We will see how it is in another one or two days."

Best case 2 weeks, worst case 4-5 weeks.
Need Toure and Lescott to stay fit now as dont want or need to see Savic anywhere near the pitch.

Not as bad as losing him for the sending off as we have Toure.
Clichy Lescott Toure Richards is still a quality defence and enough against teams we are due to play.

Vinnie said on fb that he has no idea what the problem is, or how long he will be out for.

If needs be I think we can cope without him until arsenal away. That's the big one. Lescott has been excellent this season and better than vinny in a lot of games so aslong as kolo reins in his daft runs we should be fine with those 2 for now.
Need him back for arsenal away though as van persie is a 2 man job.

We need Kompany back for Stoke away when they're bombarding our box and Kolo Toure aint great in the air. Also on Savic, if he was required then put him at right back, was decent there against Bayern Munich.

Id give milner a go before savic, although he was horribly exposed vs the rags in the cup

When we have discussed signing another quality centre back, some have suggested we don't need one. If Vinny's injury was long term, any kind of injury to Lescott would kill our title hope stone dead. We will not win enough games to take the title if both those players are missing & it's doubtful we would beat the rags.
Next season, we are hoping to go a long way in the Champion's Lg. If we don't sign another CB it won't happen.

Just seen a printed version of the MUEN & it says Lescott finished the game with a groin problem.
The words 'chickens' & 'roost' come to mind.

Fucking hell.
Looks like we may have to go back to the school of "we'll score one more than you" if they are both missing.
In all honesty though whilst chelsea and arsenal would be a worry with just kolo and savic, we should have enough in other areas of the pitch to out gun most of the rest. i would just switch to playing 3 at the back with micah in the middle and let milner play rwb
That way dzeko could be accommodated, and to be honest i think we will have to try something different or games like norwich, stoke, wolves could prove tricky

I recon I'd cause problems for Savic.
I could accept us missing the title if Micah plays there & it doesn't work, but if Bob chooses Savic in there again & he fucks up again, Bob's suitability to continue in the job should be questioned imo. That will have been our whole season ruined by the manager's faith in one player. That won't do.
Hopefully, Lescott will be ok, but if hedoes have a problem, perhaps we can patch him up until Vinny is fit, then patch Vinny up until Lescott is fit etc to keep at least one of them in the team al the time.

Then with 4 at he back clichy has to play right back. Or maybe kolarov at rb to cut in and smash it over the bar from time to time

If Savic plays I wish him luck, we will need it sadly not good enough against the best passing team in the prem he will be exposed.
