Look back over the season and it happens every single game.

Great non-story about how an official is unable to disclose confidential information.
If he had answered questions....It would have been "OFFICIAL DISCLOSES CONFIDENTIAL INFO ABOUT CITY SCANDAL"

The Fail eh. That non-story isn't even about City, they've just made it fit to suit and thrown our name in. But why?

So we have a story. Yet no one will talk about it? But Aguero might be forced out.
Oh Dear.

I think the biggest story on that page is the one I've pasted below and I'm sure John will be interested. However, the piece I'd like to point out is where I've highlighted. Some people still have a naive view that all things are even at the top end of football when the reality is that it's far from it. Here we see Maurice Watkins (United's Finance Director) sitting side-by-side with the head of the Premier League, batting the Premier League cause and in a position that could be seen as a conflict of interests in regard to having one foot in each camp. Couple that with David Gill being on the FA board (also the VC of the old G14, now on the board of the newly formed ECA) and Sky owning a large chunk of MUTV then it's quite clear that United have a serious hold in the corridors of power of all things football.
Bosses challenge FIFA supremacy
Leading executives from Europe's major leagues, including Premier League chairman Sir Dave Richards and Manchester United's lawyer Maurice Watkins, held a secret meeting in London last month to discuss the formation of a clubs' organisation that could challenge FIFA's supremacy in world football, Inside Sport can reveal. 'The aim is to have a coalition of clubs from all corners of the world that will be acting in the interests of the clubs, not in the interests of FIFA,' one football executive tells me. Sources have confirmed that the meeting at a west London hotel was also attended by European bighitters, including Dr Emanuel Macedo de Medeiros (chief of the Association of European Professional Football Leagues). The EPFL are closely aligned with - and have significant crossover with - the European Clubs' Association, who are currently embroiled in a bitter argument with FIFA over the way income from the World Cup is shared. The clubs want more cash. FIFA want to keep most of the spoils and distribute it to national associations, a method that has maintained FIFA's leading role in the world game. If the fledging global association of clubs were to take off, it could herald a major power shift in the game.

I was thinking the same about the other story. First one is nonsense, a few random figures thrown in, the etihad deal being "outlawed" and a shock aguero exit. Just some spurs fans wet dream.
The second one rings G14ey though.

It's not even about us is it? You could whack the munes, or Barcelona or anyone else into that mix.
Interesting though that the rhetoric was that clubs would face a ban, then undisclosed sanctions, then a ban would be as a last resort, now they won't discuss it at all.
They are backing down inch by inch. In the end this will disappear up Platini's arse bit by bit until it has slowly, quietly disappeared completely.

That's why I posted the other story, it has a direct bearing on what the big boys are trying to do to ensure more money for themselves, possibly in order to offset FFPR.

Fuck it, we are on that train now, anything they negotiate will involve us now. And one would be naive to think that there was not a City representative at the meeting, like the story where they used our name when they could have used any number of clubs, they used United's solicitor Watkins as he is a long standing united "name" to highlight the story.

They get all the money now so whats gonna change.
The sooner they fuckoff the better but would be willing to bet they will not.

Thanks Beefy,
Not only am I interested but gobsmacked that so many (even hardly any) seem to be bothered or interested by this stuff that is going on in the corridors of power. I flagged this up a while ago and think it is the most important issue that concerns fotball and is a major deal for City. It will redefine football world wide.
I predicted that Europe would make a move to gain control of Global football. The ECA is only a another name for the old G14, redesignedto give them more clout. They have UeFA in their pocket and they could get control of FIFA. The Dr Evil, the figurehead is our old friend Karl Heinze and his acolytes and we know where we stand with him, don't we?
The much mooted Euro breakaway league, with the blessing of football's official bodies, by invitation only, and we could be on the outside. Beyond my lifetime but in many of yours, despite the best efforts and cash of our Sheik, City could be relegated a second tier of football because of politics and the failing rags could be financially rescued by politics and sat at the top table.
No need to worry though, City will be fine..............???????????????????????
