INteresting stat during the coverage of the Wolves rollover though: apparently 2/3 of Premier league managers think that City will win the league.

Bit weird that. Not that they think that, but that someone's been round asking them. Do they get an email? A letter? With other questions on it? Mark Lawrenson doing door-to-door?

There was something in he paper about that, apparently the majority also think spurs are the most entertaining team in the league...

Clearly that poll was done a few months back.

Didn't realise that with only 4 prem games, the Beeb didn't have any FA Cup stuff mate so there'd be even more time on em, that and a little masochism.

DId make me notice though, that Alan Pardew has absolutely no top lip. Odd.

The best bit was after they showed Swansea v fulham . We wernt even playing and they managed a dig. They put the price of citys team against Swansea . Although what I thought was strange, normally when u do this u say starting 11 vs starting 11. But in this case it was 14 v 14. I'm guessing cos we brought on aguero dzeko and Johnson on and this adds 70 odd million more . Makes the story bigger.
Whatever happens this season, for me it's been a real eye opener. The level of hate and bias against city has been unbelievable .
Still nobody can give me a satisfactory answer as to why Martin Atkinson didn't ref a united game for 12 months after sending vidic off last season. I had on rag mate tell me it's cos the FA are just trying to avoid controversy. If that's right u expect us not to have foy or clattenberg again. But we will.
All that said, we still had the chance and buckled at Swansea . Personally I'm not giving up but in my opinion we will not win it now.
Back to match of the day though, and on Saturday night I think for once Hanson was right. Against Swansea last week , the players simply didn't want it enough. He said exactly what I said to my dad during the game. Where are the leaders, where are the players screaming at others to step it up. Where is the desire to win the league.
Not one of them stood up and made themselves counted . If i was on that pitch I'd be going mad.," come on lads, u wanna win this fuckin league , u gonna let them dirty twats take it from us after slagging us off all season" etc etc etc. Arm round savic," don't worry about it lad" grit your fuckin teeth and make up for it".
That's what we missed at WBA , sunderland , everton and now Swansea .
That's what we need more than anything .

It is an excellent post and the above was also certainly true for the first half against them cheating twats from Portugal the other night. It was noticeable that certain players (Nigel de Jong and surprisingly Edin Dzeko) came out in the second half and showed some fighting spirit. I think this also encouraged Kun to try and take them on and as a result alot more gaps and space were starting to show in their defence.

Yeah I agree mate . I'm hoping the second half of thurs might turn things around. But even then, they put in the effort but we don't have someone to gob it off a bit. As much as I dispise the likes of keane, if we had someone like him we would have the league tied up already . I don't doubt our players wanna win. Not saying they don't care. But I get the impression some of them won't get their hands dirty. They expect it to come to them. Even Mancini for me looks like a man who's give up. To me he ain't been the same since all the shit he got from the media for the card waving etc. I'm not saying sack him or owt like that. But if we don't win the league he gotta look in the mirror and ask if he wants it. If he does, get a couple of players who want it as much as us. People who will take the young or foreign lads to one side and question them. Kompany does a bit but not enough.
As fans though we gotta not knee jerk . Still moving forward. This season been a learning curve for us to. From being everyones second team were now the most hated. Good. Give me a mans jealousy of a mans pity any day.
