Just curious as to whether anyone actually does. Everyone on here seems to be quite vocal as to their indifference about the National team, and was wondering whether anyone actually goes to watch them.

By 'regular', I'd say having watched them at least 3 times since the move to the new Wembley, home and away.

I was at OT on the Monday when we had that fantastic draw v Australia in the famous Ashes series but the bastards took the test match off us in the Northwest during the last Ashes series & gave it to the Welsh.

Used to go a bit more in my younger days. Went to Katowice in 97, and then Le Tournoi games against Italy, France and Brazil. Then went to World Cup in 98 and was at the Tunisia Game in Marseille - place was like a war zone.

Went to the odd international when England played at Old Trafford, though no friendly games - proper monkey tennis. Last game I went to was to take my son to the Bulgaria game in Sept 2010 when Defoe got a hat-trick and Johnno scored.

Im a City fan first and second, Rangers are third and England come fourth and well down the list these days.

Never been. Whilst on I don't get as excited about the national side as I do about City, I do get tired of people moaning about England. Most of these same people are all for it when the tournos come around and then go back to whingeing like bitches the day after we get knocked out. Fickle.

I have been once and I'd go again given the opportunity. I am English and I see no reason why I should be ashamed of it.

The endless qualifiers and friendlies are just utter utter shite as a spectacle, yet people are expected to pay top dollar for a seat at Wembley to watch a completely disfunctional team, managed by a disfunctional manager, all be substituted at half time for a further set of players who look like they really only met each other at kick off when they sat on the bench together.

Tournament football is different, because you actually get to play decent teams and ultimately though find out for certain that your suspicions about the manager and players were true when they ground out that 2.0 victory over "insert non-football playing nation here" the other month.

It is utter garbage as a spectacle other than for 2/3 weeks every couple of years, when it gives us an opportunity to fill the football void

Once went to an England v Albania group game at Newcastle as was working there and got free tickets. High point was Norman Wisdom taking a penalty, which says it all really.

Also went to England v Italy friendly at Elland Rd, but was in Italian end, which probably doesn't count.

Only watch the tournaments because there's nothing else on. If they were mid-season, I'd happily just stick to the premier league.

only been to one england game - the U21s game in Heerenveen that finished 13-12 AET to holland on pens. pearce was in charge and fidel castro's dad kindly gave me a lift home coz the game went on so long that i'd missed the last train home.

been to about 10 cyprus games that were quite manic, (including a 3-3 draw with spain), 3 holland games that were surreal and a belize-honduras game that was notable for the fact that around 10% of the capital's population turned up despite no-one really caring about football.

Bloody hell - I was there as well, my mate blagged us to the front of the queue. When I worked round there a bunch of us regularly sneaked in for nowt for the last hour - very pleasant.

I saw them at Eastlands when they played Japan, I only went because it was at our place.

I have been to more Macedonia internationals than I have England. True story. I still consider myself an England supporter however.

May have been the same match when Flintoff hit two sixes over my head to win it.

I took a couple of mates who'd rarely been to cricket were worried we needed to get there early in the morning. "Oh no it'll be fine ", I said "I've been to loads of last days when results were possible & always got in easily "

When we got there the ground was filling up & there were still about 20,000 people outside. Luckily the police fucked up the queue & from being at the back, we were at the front & then somehow got fantastic seats right behind Freddie bowling.

People were standing up as he ran in or jumping out of their seats. Never know an atmosphere like that at a cricket game; electric. Better than our home games.

And they all stayed & applauded both teams off after a draw, rather than leaving 10 mins early after a win.

I have only missed one England home game since the new wembley opened so yeah i do follow them a bit.

Is that coincidence, or did you live in Macedonia?

In that vein, I have seen Western Samoa and Argentina play rugby more times than Wales, despite never having visited either country.

Went to watch them at the Etihad when we played Iceland in a friendly in 2004. We won 6-1. Vassell with a couple.

Great day out, great atmosphere too, especially for a friendly.

Lost most of my interest in England when the players did.

Saw us beat japan at coms. I lost my tickets on the way to the game. The biggest disappointment was that the ticket office replaced them when i got there.

It was fucking wank, absolutely shite. Shite atmosphere, shite game, just shite

And to add insult to injury they sold carlsberg in the ground at £4 a pint
