Have we blown it?

Postby Blue2 » Sat Mar 24, 2012 8:16 pm

I reckon today was the final nail in the coffin, not sure whats gone wrong, Silva run out of steam? We are just not the same team. Today was one of the worst performances of the season, we never looked like scoring.

I knew we had blown it when Kompany made the f*ck up vs Nani at Wembley. Season was well over then ;)

I recon you haven't checked the league table where we are #1.

Sure we have a game in hand, but there are also 8 games to play. Thats 24 points on the line. Do you honestly believe that the scum will take all 24 including vs. us at home?!

Some "fans" make me ashamed. Fear takes controls your life. We will win the league.

No not the final nail by any stretch. Getting nothing from the game would have been a real blow, but to come from behind at Stoke puts us on top which pyschologically puts some pressure on the rags. Even if they beat Fulham we are still 1 win behind with them to come to us.

For them to have to come to the Etihad is now very much a good thing, we need to ensure we are giving ourself a chance when that game arrives and this is stil,l for now at least, a real posibility. Arsenal is looking like a huge game for us and Norwich away another biggie.

It's a tough task ahead, but to win a title thats what you'd expect. Final nail? Most certainly not.

I really like your spirit but I have that feeling of teams not going for them at all whereas they walk through brick walls when facing us. Fulham won't bother. The good thing about Bolton winning today is that Blackburn are far from safe.

Not, if the strikers and attacking midfielders are capable to adjust the conversion rate and return to the first half season's vein.
In the last months, the biggest difference, bigger than any refereeing unjustice, had been that Rags have scored from almost every clear chance with a far weaker team, while our more gifted lads had missed loads.

We need to keep a 2-3 point distance with them untill the game on our ground. We need to understand that it will be a different game, like we had this season, we aren't allowed to do the same mistakes we did with Chelsea, to wait untill we are one down and so on + we need to be prepared that if we had bent refs with Wba or Sunderland, with them it will the ''mother" of dubious decisions.

Fulham won't roll over.

That's for sure.

Worst case scenario is we end up having to hammer them at home.

No! so please everyone get a grip.We played shit and came away with a point. Most of the top 5 have come away from there with a point or less. We have 8 games so who knows, we need to improve our away form if we beat the Arse away then we have a good chance.

Like your optimism lads, I just really pissed off after that pile of shite. Cant think of more than 2 players who had a decent game. Perhaps things will look different in the morning.

It doesn't look good, but it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings.
I don think that we need to within 3 points of scum when we play them at home, though.

True. but dont forget the GD is getting ticker and the rags are are in front of rolling grasslands to pasture with their fixture list and the attitude of their recent opponents hasnt been so challanging.
So while I have no doubt that we will win our last 8 remainders, I suspect we should also need to restore the 3 goals/game ratio to become Champions.
On the other hand, the "didn't expect nothing from B/B" is a solid argument and I will be chuffed if my feeling will be proved wrong.
also today's performance by Webb has sprung some relief to my paranoia.

Anyway it appears that mr. Braveheart upstairs have already pressed the "IGNORE HIM" button since yesterday, so I better bring my free time elsewhere for another while.
Cheers to some Great Folks here.

Theoretically it's not the nail in the coffin, but for me it's the day I go from believing to just hoping.

We are fucking this season up bit by bit lately. It's pretty painful to watch. Sure the FA cup wasn't our fault, but we've gone from looking unstoppable to out of the CC, out the Europa and thrown away a decent lead in the league and getting worse.

Why did bobby think Balo and dzeko would work and leave it so late for Tevez? I love him but he's a fuckinh slow learner. Look how long it took him to figure out Savic is useless? It's painful.
