Stay committed or be committed

The scum will drop a bollock somewhere, we will beat arsenal at the library and we will win 2-1 at home against the unmentionables and win our final two games. This is all I have left to believe in and can only focus on this otherwise I am going to lose the plot completely. We have to keep it together brothers and sisters for we have nothing without belief and our belief has been rocked and damn near extinguished at times in the last forty years but we are still here. Today is just another test of our belief and we have to stay committed or be committed, as far as I can see its one or the other.

We are in unchartered territory for most of us bar those that are 'mature' enough to remember and I have to go to a default setting after a match like today. My City default is 'it will all work out in the end' and it will. The script is being written and a good story is never a boring one, the hero has to be clinging on to a cliff edge at some point in the adventure or it's not exciting, this is the Chelsea game played out over a season, the villain will fuck up one last time. I just hope that we as a club and a set of supporters believe that we have what it takes to Carpe Diem.

I'd have taken 4 points from Chelsea and Stoke away so it's not panic stations just yet

as it stands we dont need scum to drop points only versus us, were top of the league not them i hope they go into the fulham game thinking its gonna be an easy 3pts. i like the analogy of the hero hanging on a cliff as long as we dont fall off it. onwards another game out the way and 8 left, were still within striking distance and still they cant afford to slip up wouldnt surprise me if the title was decided on goal difference.

That's my point Beeks, this season has the potential to be as good as gets, fear is an amazing drug

Great way to look at it mate. I think the pressure of United catching us is having an adverse effect on some fans.

The truth is that the Rags are winning game after game which is totally unscripted. We now have a perception that winning every game is the only way to go but the reality is that it's just not natural. I think the Rags average about 8 dropped points in their last 1o games, that 2 losses and 2 draws yet no-one can see past the point that they'll win every game. If they win all of their remaining games then deserve to win the league. Nothing more to it.

This season is unprecedented though. No team has ever scored 70 goals in 29 games and then we both did it. No team with as many points as we had before today at that stage of the season has ever not won the league, yet one of us will

We could win every game. So could they. Getting into a position where either of us have to drop points, outside the derby, is suicide. We're already at a point where we might need to do it on goal difference, so we certainly can't afford anymore slip ups or they can start tying the red ribbons on

No. That's not going to happen.

Sorry but our Away form is too shit to get anything at the Emirates. If we can't beat fucking Swansea or Stoke there is no way we will beat Arsenal on their ground.

Going into the final run of games, I think we needed 7 points from the Chelsea, Stoke & Arsenal games. We can still do that, although obviously we'll have to sort the away form out.

The only potential banana skin game I can see for the scum is a week on Monday away at Blackburn. Fingers crossed they'll drop at least a couple of points there and we might even be able to get away with a draw against Arsenal as well.

If we really want to be champions then 8 wins would do it, we're more than capable of doing that providing we grow some balls away from home.

Good post we have got to keep the faith although sometimes they make it really hard for us.

The Scum will drop a bollock somewhere? Where then? Have you seen their fixture list.

Our form this season has been superb, we have broken a few records and have amassed a number of points that would have secured the title in every other season, and yet some people still aren't satisfied. Granted we may not win the title, but we have done extremely well, sure its galling that the other lot might win it and pip us to the post but don't let that make you lose sight as to what we have achieved this season. If you had been offered this points total and goal difference with 8 games to go last August you would have taken it in a flash!

I am with these three gents. Any of you without the balls for a scrap or devoid of optimism after what you have seen from City this season will never, ever be happy.

Manchester City away looks a tough one.

One thing is clear, we are going to finish on an astonishing number of points that would be enough to be champions almost every season. If another club manages to get more than we do, well done to them! We will continue to set the bar high in the coming seasons, I doubt they will jump over it again. But we must hold our nerve, win or lose this race we are on the right path.

Not just now but in the future.

Sure we have things which Bob clearly has to work on & his future will depend on him solving those things but even if he wins the treble next year, we have to learn to deal with situations like now without going into self destruct mode.

We can still win the league. We may still win the league, we may not. We will win it at some point BUT, we WILL NOT win it every year, so we are going to be in this situation again & again, perhaps even a year after winning the Champion's Lg (like Barca now) we will miss the title; that's football.

We have to look at whether we are any good or not & this season, we have been fucking good. Now we try to get better, whatever happens.
