I risk the wrath of many, but i'm going there...Balotelli...

Postby thegoatfeeder » Sat Mar 31, 2012 9:28 pm

Now, I admit he has turned in a couple of excellent performances this season, and he has scored some important goals but I genuinely don't believe he has turned up for a couple of months now. Yes, he scored twice today, one penalty, and one beauty, but the lad is playing for himself, with no interest in the club or team. His argument today with Kolarov was an absolute embarrassment and quite frankly I want him gone in the Summer. So many fans treat him like the 2nd coming, and maybe its just me that doesn't get it, but I am sick of him and want rid.

While i'm on this rant I feel I should reiterate my support for Mancini and everyone else, I just don't think in the long term, Balotelli has brought anything other than disharmony.

Agree about Mario. Just not getting enough from him and it's no better now than when he arrived.

Not sure I support Mancini through this though.

I will admit that I'm not the biggest Mario lover however I didn't think he had a bad game, regardless of the goals. He fucks me right off with his falling over but I was sure he was dragged down and should've had a penalty. Will have to watch it again, hopefully it'll give me a bit more insight.

Ive seen nothing back, just what I saw at the game, but he goes to ground so often, it really pisses me off.

I too am pissed off with his lying on the ground and sitting on his arse if he doesnt get a decision. Wether hes in the right or not, he wont change a refs mind so he should get up and get on with the game.

On another note, Petrov pulled his shirt over his head today the same as Mario did in the scum game but got no yellow card.

Mmmm, I wouldn't be complaining about that one.

Sad to say, but, at some point we are going to have to ask the question - are we going to get better value from someone else?

Anyone remember the Semi Final last season? Even the Final, he was all over the place, led the line, very good.

Was he like that today?

That is my frustration, he can be absolutely unplayable. But in all honesty, has be come close to those heights since the 6-1? I know he scored twice today, and one of them was a stunner, but his overall contribution for me isn't good enough and hasn't been for sometime. He knows he is idolised by some, and I think he needs a kick up the arse to start performing.

And there you have it in a nutshell.Somebody thinks he was the only player to give a shit and others,me included ( although I am obviously a hater of Mario because that's what I've been told) thought he didnt give a toss and was lazy and largely a waste of space. After 5 minutes I said he looked like he was in the wrong mood and from what Mancini said after the game he thought exactly the same.

Yet he scored two so what can you do?

And that's where the problem is. He can do so much yet can give so little. Just watching MotD and he's getting shit off that bloke who used to comment on Robot Wars, the fat geet. What really pee's me off about Mario is that he doesn't seem too play for the team but plays for himself. I think my mind was made up about him when he shoved Silva off to show his love for his Mrs on his t-shirt, it was well out of order.

Like I said though, he wasn't has bad as people made out today but only decided to really push on until he was fucked off by Kolarov.

He's a 21 year old kid who has loads of talent but is a bit of a fucking knob at times. Imo, he put in effort today but sulked in between & that has attracted people's attention. He still ran about though & was still running at the end.

With all our finances, how the fuck have we got into a position where we have to rely on him though? He should be a luxury not a neccessity. Plenty of us saw that this time last year. We have to put out two players in him & Dzeko that don't play together at all. Why is that neccessary ? Why is the only other option, a left footed right winger ?

Why haven't we got someone other than a really shit fullback who can cross the ball ? Why did we have to rely on that fucking clown Savic when we got injuries ?

Why isn't the squad balanced yet ? We talked about all this on here both in the summer & at Christmas.

I have no qualms with Mario's play today. He showed up and popped in two goals. Theoretically, whether he gives a shit about the club or not, if he finds motivation, he will pop in a goal every game. If the defense buckles down and everyone does their job, we would be set.

His attitude with his bickering isn't ideal, but at that free-kick a right footer should have taken it.

Today was tough to watch, and my optimism is fading. Something needs to be changed, it is becoming evident that we should have made a move in January a bit bigger than Pizarro. He even made our team look energized!

Guys, we've got to look at the whole team not just Mario! He wasn't responsible for the goals that Sunderland scored today,

Yaya was disappointing, certainly not his usual physically powerful performance , Edin and Silva have been struggling for weeks to find form.

We missed Kun up front to hold the ball and I personally struggle with Kolarov's contributions ( yes he can cross the ball well and he has a fierce some left foot but Clichy gives us more).

It was a day when too many 'great' players performed only as 'good' players. Mario is fickle and youthfully arrogant ( can you remember what you were like at 21? ). Had he smashed in a hatrick and we'd have won he'd be the hero not the villain.

Much of what you all say here is true but we certainly didn't loose today just because of Balotelli or indeed Mancini.

I've followed the Blues for over 45 years and we are a fabulous team, remember the opening 15 matches - amazing. I'm really at a loss to explain or understand why we're struggling to playing as a team at the moment.

Maybe one or two players simply don't meld on the pitch or cancel one another out: Mario and Edin, NDJ and YaYa

David Silva looks jaded and struggling with his confidence. He's a player that thrives on creating 'intricate footballing moves' and they are nearly coming off but not quite.

Having watched them today and against Chelski we seem to loose something when we hit teams hard early in the game and don't score! Another frustrating performance but don't blame one or two players IMHO!
