Uniteds purchase of duncan included a clause entitling blackburn to £2m if he helped united win the league.

It might be their last chance for a long while to cash in on this clause......................

This is the type of thing that should be outlawed. I can see bonuses to past clubs based on the individual performances of the player in question, but to tie a bonus to the success of a rival team in the same league is absurd.

Yeah, im in that camp definately. I expect blackburn to lose tonight, but i think they have a good chance to set about united as its definately winnable for them, will be a very tricky game for the rags, as will the qpr game at weekend.

Seem to remember several similar clauses in Shrek's contract as well. Wonder why Everton never seemed to put in as much effort against them?

Would you say that the payments we got of Chelski for Danny were of a similar nature or is it a totally different situation,I'm a bit confused as to what to think was hoping to get someone elses view.

I am rather confused by this thread.

I was under the impression that Duncan Edwards was killed in a plane crash some time ago!

Venky's are communicating with him in the hereafter and selling his motivational words on to Gammonchops.

Disappointing thread. I thought it was gonna be along the lines of "still alive, living in digs in Chorlton and turning out for Stalybridge United reserves". Still, might have been more credible.
