0 Shots On Target

At the start of the season we were having shots from anywhere and everywhere.

In the last few months we have seemed scared to have a shot, this is where we have lost the league.

I think, not sure, but i think in the last 4 away games we had a total of 8 shots on target.

I know it's knitpicking and doesn't really matter but sceszney had to tip one over the bar so there must have been at least 1 shot on target.

I reckon it would have hit the bar.

I dont think we have ever been prolific shooters (if that's the right phrase) but your point remains, in fact more so as if you're firing blanks as we have been then we would be taking MORE gambles!

Kompany had a shot on target in the second half. Think it was from about 70 yards. It was partly a tackle, but still, had Sczney not caught it, it would have gone in!

I'm not Dzeko's biggest fan but when we destroyed Spurs he was our leading man with Aguero and Silva either side. Aguero isn't a leading striker and needs to float, find space and run at defences. Silva has been out of sorts since Balotelli got back in the side on a regular basis. Dzeko leads the line well and occupies the centre halves. really disappointed today, i'd have expected a fight with us needing the win but after 5 minutes we could see we were in serious trouble.

There was a stat about 10/15 games into the season that showed we had scored the most goals from outside the area. Then we stopped shooting.
