Will always be remembered as the season we threw away the title!
I doubt it will be any easier next year or any other year!

Other teams could have an 8 point lead but not City, because we are City so we will never ever ever get one again.
What a load of bollocks.

City have never had an 8 point lead this season - we had a 5 point lead for about 6 weeks between October and the first week in December, the rest of the season we've either been level with United or there's been 2 or 3 points between us.
Also no we haven't thrown it away - United have won points they had no right to win amongst several other factors why we will not win the league this season.

One of those several other factors is that we have thrown points away

The positives to take out of this are that if the rags win the title it may paper over the cracks as they are shite and need about 4 players. We will buy big and have knowledge from this season to focus on. We will win the title next season!

....and with Walton retiring, they'll have to spend big there.

Ended for me when on the coach to the Emirates we lose the satellite signal and when it comes back in a patchwork way we see a QPR player walking off the field at Old Trafford.
Not knowing at all that it was a red card situation we finally get a signal and sky repeatedly show the apparent misdemeanour that
took QPR down to 10 men. For me Ashley Young's dive , the ref's speed at giving a penalty, the speed of pulling his red card out of his pocket and the way Rooney gloated over a penalty the goalie nearly got to, was almost too much.
Then at half time they show the full incident , Young offside , linesman bricking it and the worse thing ever, three officials waiting on the pitch with a police escort no less, before retreating to the cabin , once Mark Hughes went down the tunnel.
There and then i finally accepted City would not win the title this season.
At the game Arsenal were the better team, Rosicky was their man of the match ! That is how poor our midfield was. Barry and Milner were not in it At all today and vince didn't do himself sny favours with very bad distribution.
Balo was a red card waiting to happen and i don't know why on earth mancini allowed him to start against Arsenal ahead of Dzeko.
I left for Heathrow just before the red card, so i can't comment on that, but i knew mario was going to get one

Do you think the number one reason behind United winning the league is biased officiating in their favour?

Whilst United have been given dodgy decisions that doesn't disguise the fact that we've been crap in far too many games.

Before the Scum win the title(and unless we implode) they will have to beat Swansea, Sunderland and Everton, all of which have beaten us.
In their previous fixtures against these they managed only 1 nil wins, so they are not gimmes.
It's not over til its over
However there are people in this thread moaning about it all being over who wasted a lot of everybody's time and energy in another thread insisting the scum couldn't haul us in.
They'll never catch us threadYou can't have it both ways

They have better luck than many other teams put together.

I dont disagree, but is that the main reason they are likely to win the league this season? Are the fortunate decisions they've received regulally a bigger reason than the fact that they have a built better team than we have with lesser players?

This season we were 2-0 up in the community shield and threw it away.
This season we were done in the Chumps League.
This season we threw away the FA Cup by thinking if we got an inglorious defeat against United that would be enough.
This season we threw away the League Cup semi from a winning position.
This season we threw away the Europa League.
We are in the process of throwing away the league.
Perspective.

They have had about 14 points from referees this season. We have lost about 15.
There are 2 ways of looking at it. 1) The refs are so poor that they have just made so many mistakes. 2) the shit was fixed from the start.
Whichever way you see it the refs have had a bigger say in the title this season than most teams in the league.
Edit: Just to piss myself off about this even more I went and worked out that they have had 12.3% of the penalties awarded this season.

If not for their fortunate refereeing outcomes at key moments which coincided with our unfortunate outcomes, they would be a long way behind us, we could have gone to Arsenal & played Bob football under no pressure & took a point.
They have been very lucky this season & don't deserve special praise imo. They have won it for two reasons 1) because when they play an average or poor game, they have not been beaten, 2) fortunate reffing. They haven't done anything special, just not been made to pay for being average.
For some reason also, it meant more to teams to beat us than it did to beat them, as we saw with Arsenal's pathetic celebrations of failing to compete all season but beating us.

Everyone's new cup final. To your point, why it's not true for the rags I couldn't say.
Sadly, this season may end up being one where our only real glory is doing the double over them.
Alex offers some perspective that's hard to hear but is true not matter what LAHAD or Doommerchant thinks: we still have points to play for, anything can happen.

It's crucial for Mancini's future that we finish strongly imo.
After yesterday's pathetic lack of gumption, I'm pretty sure he will be third choice behind Jose & Pep for next season in the eyes of our leaders. If we're shite from now on, he may well become less desirable than the Hiddinks & Ancelottis as well.
Now we find out how much the players are willing to play for him. If they decide they want him out; he's a gonner. His future is in their hands.
