Some of his comments after the game were pretty close to unacceptable from a manager. (In my unqualified opinion).

I've tried to avoid the Sky Sports News & the General Media Scum love in, what were his comments after the game?

Assume they are talking about Balotelli. He wont play again this season and maybe sold in the Summer

I hope so, but Mancini's faith in him was mis-placed. He's lost the plot. And it's been evident for a couple of months that he has not known what to do

He has lost us the title plain and simple because he reverted to his roots.Plus he carried on gratiating his favourite Balotelli who imo has caused more unrest than the Tevez saga ever did he has to go.

Interesting that I heard someone (in the press or a pundit)say that Tevez coming back has caused us more problems and unrest within the team than Mario.I would disagree with that. The team genuinely seem to be happy with Tevez coming back but there don't seem to the same positve comments re Mario or at least none that I can remember that were genuine.

Dzeko should never have been dropped after his early season form. Mario did nothing to justify replacing him. Once you know you don't have the confidence of the manager it's hard to produce your best.

I agree mate Dzeko starts the season like a house on fire and for some reason Mancini benches him it just beggars belief. Its no wonder Dzeko has'nt fired this season.

Patience needed, big mistake if we get rid, imo.

only sack the manager if you have someone better lined up i.e. when leslie got the chop

unless Pep, Jose or Uwe (ok maybe not Rosler) are signed up lets carry on! Don't need a 2012 Alan Ball signing in desperation (I think the equivalent would be Benitez)

I don't want Mancini to go. We have all seen Managers in the headlights in certain situations. Ferguson when Rooney wanted a transfer, Wenger, Redknapp and Dalglish all following defeat.

If Mancini was to go, and I think it will be a big mistake like you B2, I'll throw two names into the pot for "Discussion"

1. Ancellotti

2. Rogers

That's right....no Mourinho

Benitez is holding out for an Anfield return....Thankfully.

He seemed very keen when the Chelsea job was available the other month.

As annoyed as I am about last night, I'm not in the Mancini out group. Still, how long is Martin O'Neill contracted for at Sunderland? Much more proven than Rodgers.

honestly, i'd rather find the next young great manager we back to the hilt for the next 5-10 years and watch grow. I know others have said "that can never happen in football nowadays" but i'd like to harken back to an era seemingly long gone, and find a young progressive manager who we grow with and defines his success with ours in lockstep.

Some might suggest that person would be Mancini, but i'd beg to differ.

cheers

In terms of principle and what it would likely do to our development I do not want to throw the baby out with the bathwater and sack Mancini.

BUT....I just cannot understand how on earth he (and Kidd and Platt and the rest of the coaching staff) could conceivably not see that taking Mario off at halftime for Tevez was the smartest way to go about winning that match. To leave the change until about 10 minutes to go was stupid, stubborn and cowardly. And, honestly with Khaldoon watching in the stands, I cannot believe he was insane enough to do that....and, if doing so essentially signed his own p45 then he really does only have himself to blame.

Fucking depressing though I'll tell you that. Cunts

I'm going to wait and see how the team reacts to the title going, over the next 6 games. If we pull together, win the derby, finish well...I'd give Mancini the summer to fine tune things, and maybe reflect on his own performance. If we fall away and only just pip arsenal to second, and in turn finish miles (totally ridiculous) behind scum, I'd consider his time done.

I nearly started angry wind up thread last night about Tevez coming back. Lot of people were saying that this cunt would help us in title race completely missing the point of squad unity etc. It was massively stupid thing to do.

Oh, I saw a dream last night of Mancini getting the sack this morning. Weird.

Well i need to be convinced against all i have seen this season so far, that Mancini has lost us the title... I don't need to be convinced that circumstance, plain old luck, possibly bent refs, the fa, teams that have failed miserably to play football, the media etc, have enabled that crock of shit from over the way at trafford park to have their final fling and win the title.

When i hear Arsenal fans walking out of their own ground after just playing City, chanting "United, united" because they have seen someone in a City shirt, rather than sing the names of their own heroes, Then it's pretty clear how much we are not liked and fans are somewhat warped and bent out of shape about City.

Erm....Doug is saying the complete opposite though fella. He's saying that Tevez being back hasn't affected squad unity in the slightest.

In fact the only issues being caused in the squad from Doug's comments here and elsewhere seem to be re Mario and Mancini's constant selection of him. And, I'd concur with that view on the evidence of the last few games

At least that's not a dilemma RM has to deal with for the remainder of the season though
