Out of interest

Came to work today and one of the lads was ranting about how the media are a disgrace etc. The agendas at sky, cockney press and the evening news. Then I noticed he had the evening news and the sun under his arm. I asked why does he give them money , he said he got to read something on his dinner break. I pointed out he doesn't as these days we all have phones etc but he just grunted and walked off.
Does anyone on here still put money in the pockets of these anti city lot?
Personally I not bought a paper in 12 months now. Also have cancelled sky . Go to most city games and the ones I don't I'd rather listen on the radio or watch on a stream than pay them. Seems to me theres a lot of people not prepared to walk the walk so to speak.
While im here . Is their anyone who leaves the games early as well? And could u tell me why. We won every game at home this season and the minute we look like losing , loads got off against Sunderland to rush back in when we scored. Sad

Havent bought a newspaper for years.

I just dont understand why people do, especially the redtops. Much better information is available as you say via phone, however what it comes down to is that people who read the newspaper dont doit for news, they do it in the hope of finding a story - something which they can easily form an opinion about and talk to their mates at work as though they are truly enlightened.

I cant believe the number of people who over the last year for example tell me in the pub that x, y, z is a fact about city, eg the size of the sponsorship deal and quote it as a fact. When asked where they got that figure from, they say "the papers". When asked why another newspaper reports the same figure, they say its because they must know.....lit doesnt cross their mind that they copy each others stories to suit their agendas.

Funniest one was the recent story that mourinho had already signed for city, bloke next to us at the sunderland game mentioned it, wheruopn my mate, who knows nothing about anything jumped in saying that the story had been categorically denied by mourinho, and therefore it was an impossibility that the stpry could have a grain of truth. He even showed us the story on his phone as if to prove to us that what he had said, had actually happened.

I pointed out that lies are told all the time by public figures to maintain the stability of their current position - eg, someone is hardly likely to state they are leaving whilst in a title run in, regardless of the rights and wrongs of the story. He also had no idea about the situation in spain with marca and the other newspapers who act as official tools of subversion for barca and real.

He just couldnt grasp that showing us an article from a redtop website was not evidence of a fact, only evidence of a story. He just didnt get it, and i think thats very very sad and all too typical.

I havent bought a newspaper for a long time, only time i read one is when i look at someone else's. Im no longer a season ticket holder but i never left a game early, i can see why people leave early to maybe beat the traffic but part of the match experience is sat in the car discussing the game with mates or family while stuck in traffic for me.

These days the only time i ever really do is at the airport for a bit of reading on the flight, gave up on them years ago.

Not bought a paper for years. Only left a match early once this year when the Ass. Ref showed 3 mins off added time as I had to get back to Piccadilly to get a train. It takes nearly 10 minutes to get out of my row some days and if I'd missed it I'd have had a £100+ fare to pay. Not proud of it but what can you do?

i agree with all of the above, one guy told me we blew an 8pt lead in the pub on friday night, so i asked him when did city have an 8pt lead with the same amount of games played as scum ,its in all the papers, no i said we had played a game more we had the lead for about 24 hours, its the old story say it enough write it enough and people will believe it.

Unbelievable innit . Everybody has been completely brainwashed . I think the Internet is the way forward . For example I started coming on here during breaks etc. Don't agree with all but has led me onto other stuff. I particularly followed the conspiracy thread. Now I'm one of them who doesn't go for all that but after reading stuff on there iv followed stuff up and researched it. The things u find are amazing . Totally changed my outlook on things. I'm currently following leads on the media and the hatred to city. 6 months ago I'd say, just jealous of our money etc. But it seems to run far deeper . A lot of the high jobs in British media are occupied by Jewish . Or people who favour them. Obviously we are owed by Arabs . All this hatred is also because of politics . The more you dig, u see it isn't simply 11 vs 11 on a football pitch.
When rummernigger came out with his comments about city this season , I couldn't understand where the hate came from. Then I read up on the G12 . Basically , everybody is frightened stiff of us. So they are all trying to take us down.
As I said to the lad in work. U give them money, your paying to their cause. That makes u a traitor to city.
Once I have finished my research I'll be presenting it to city. I personally feel we should start our own local newspaper and radio station etc.
As for the going home early, for anyone who reads this and does. Grow a pair. I gotta stand a matter of meters away from them horrible cunts in a few weeks. Taking loads of shit. I'll stay till the bitter end. Win lose or draw. DONT BECOME LIKE THEM TWATS

I cant remember the last time I bought one. Prob years ago to check the tranfer news and scores whilst sat on a beach on holiday when I cant be bothered to find a pub with ssn showing. Ill sometimes take a look at someones paper at work to remind myself why I dont buy them. It just pisses me off that so many pratts take these papers word for word. Its really sad.

I dont know how they get away with printing such bollox. This crap I noticed on the front page regarding Balo goin off with some slut came at a good time, like always. This maybe had something to do with his display??

I buy the Observer on a Sunday if I am doing nothing other than sitting on my arse. There is still something nice about reading a Sunday newspaper.

If we lose I dont watch any of the sporting media. Keeps me happy. It does amuse me that people moan about things but dont switch off/stop buying it. Even the bloke the other day complaining about Rags teasing him on facebook. How about not logging on?

My fav is when people constantly moan about talksport but and call it talkshite. Why bring attention to something you think is shit? Why were you listening to it in the first place?

Fooks me off big time as to why they let these scouse lovers be so pro Liverpool when they're meant to be unbiased. Dare I say it but even Ratface seems to be able to do an honest job !! Also annoys the hell out of me when they seem unable to get a good honest Ex City lad in the studios. They've just started gettin Hinchcliff in there from time to time .But to have someone like Roy Keane in the studio on a europa league game when we're playing is like some sort of sick joke. This is not only a guy that played for our rivals but also intentionally ruined one of our players careers!! fooking shocking.

Got to agree with u there. As much as I hate Neville he does a first class job. In front of the camera he is straight down the line. Yeah since mike summerbee stuck up for us in last years derby he's barely been back on. They simply don't want any blues on. Every week I sat a said, ok there's their corner, where is ours?. Which is why I think our best way forward is create our own. Nick summerbee gets a bit on talksport which would help. It's not like were asking in our favour . Just a fair balanced view. Not much to ask

I buy the Times, Gaurdian, Express, Mail, Sun, Mirror and Star every day. I believe every word in each of them.

I tweet messages of appreciation to the great jouralists of these papers on a regular basis.

I read Jeff Stelling's, Paul Merson's, Phil Thomson's and Jamie Redknapp's blogs on Skysports.com.

I send Sky a tip every month to thank them for their wonderful service.

I buy all pay per view events on Sky, even the events which I have no intention of watching.

I bet with Skybet.

I'm moving my internet over to Sky as soon as I can.

I have been 'got at' but I am not Jewish.
