Atmosphere was good and some great piss taking with the Norwich fans as well.

They chimed in with the typical "Carlos Tevez, he wants to go home" - this was repeated to them by the City fans when he scored, and there then followed after goal 3 "He's rather play Golf," and then when he'd been subbed, "He's on the par 4" - piss funny.

It was good to see Mancini, going across the pitch to recognise the fans great backing at the game.

I have no wish to diminish the efforts of the City fans today but it's much easier to be loud and enthusiastic when City are on a roll.
The job now is to be there for the team, lift them and drive them along when we go a goal down, the passing is going astray and the passing tempo is flat.

tbf john match tickets, train fares and hotels were purchased during a slump, so it takes something special to get yourself on the 6.34 to norwich on a saturday morning and part with 90 notes for the trouble

Bobby,
I did state that I did not wish to diminish the performance of City fans at Norwich mate, I will reiterate that.
The challenge for all City fans, over the next few games is whether they can create a big atmosphere that drives the team forward under less fortuitous conditions. We have not been noted for our noise levels when things are not swimming along.

It is all important now, we can cheer them home, or sit and watch.

Unfortunately i think the atmosphere for our next home game will come down to whether the rags have dropped points over the next 2 games. I think if we go into the derby 5 points behind it will be more difficult to get the desired generation of noise.

Regardless, I hope for one of those hamburg at home like atmosphere where EVERYONE got behind the team.

I normally don´t have the joy to sit in the City Section on awaygames as I often got the tickets from the hometeam. Yesterday I got some in the City end and it was pure fun. Lot´s of singsong, lot of enjoyable banter. Really liked it to be there. It was a pleasure to be part of it!

@Goaters103, Have you been in the hotel Pub before the game? I thought for a moment it was you with your son?

Hi Tom, Yes, that was us! we were with my sons old Headmaster who lives down there now and who is also a mad Blue. We were also in there after the game too. Pity I didnt see you, I owe you a beer for those tickets a couple of years ago.
